he said he's not really happy with fingering me cause he don't like how my pussy smells. He says even clean I smell to strong and to unpleasent, and he thinks it's cause my birthcontrol shot every 3 months. I've been to the dr over and over and over about the issue of him thinking I either, A have an infection, or B either need to go talk to my dr about my scent, and I am clean. no infections no candidia no yeast. So other than I am just plain old musky to him there's absolutely no health reasons for my pussy to stink to him.

From what I gather, you checked up on the major factors. You've pointed out there's no medical reason for your scent, but "customer states" it exists. (I didn't just mean to call you a hooker =\ ) Have you tried some of the many vaginal hygiene products?

I've heard its true for vaginal secretions (so professional, right?), but I know it's true for semen: Diet has a huge impact on scent and taste. A diet heavy in meats, cheeses, fried foods, junk food, etc. will have a more... "American" odor than a diet of fruits, veggies, and tofu.

So my advice: female hygiene + dietary changes.

I second Heavanskeeper.

Eat more pineapple. It works for me. During the summer I eat more fresh fruit and can notice the change quickly.

I eat mostly a bad diet, I shower daily Ive been on the shot for almost a year now. No change in my taste or smell at least to me. I would suggest dietary changes like everyone else. Or Say to your dom (I know its a bit crass and snarky) Im sorry would you rather a bit of a scent you dont enjoy or the chance for me to get knocked up? Which would you like Ill change to what you would prefer...

Depro is evil. I would get off that shot. It makes you gain weight, it can mess with your emotions, and was used as a male castration drug for pedo's. So if you feel a little bitchy or sour, maybe its reflective of that. Beyond that, yay for pineapple juice!! Good luck. xox

Ms. its only in 30 percent of cases that people gain weight, Ive actually lost about 20 pounds from being on it.

Also If your not on it for birth control reasons, (like me) Its the only thing short of getting your tubes cut that can ease the pain and destroyingness of ones cycle.

And Its the only birth control that doesnt loose its effectiveness due to someones weight. The patch and pill if your over 200 pounds goes down about 3 to 5 percent of effectivness for every 20 or so pounds over according to my obgyn.

Try Azo tablets for yeast, easily gotten at Wal-Mart. Take one a day, they ccan tend to help.

I've heard it's good to avoid brussels sprouts and asparagus. I agree with what has been said so far, except for the part about "vaginal hygene products." I have heard (from medical types) that douches are not a good idea (they mess up the natural ph of your vagina, and can cause infections)... here's info from the US Health and Human Services on that if you want to read up... http://www.womenshealth.gov/faq/douching.pdf
As to whether your birth control shot is causing the odor... I don't know. It is possible, considering birth control shots change our hormonal balance, which may affect more than just the ability to concieve. I'd look up the website of the birth control type you are using and see if they have a full list of possible side effects. Or I'd do a google search to see if anyone else had that problem. Have you asked your doctor about the birthcontrol/smell theorey?

One last thing... has your partner's nose been around many other vaginas before, does he think you smell different from other women, or is it possible he's just not used to the way a normal vagina smells (and there is a wide varity in what a "normal" vagina can smell like).

Yes, my dr and gyno always tell me NOT to douche and NOT to use perfumes and scented sprays, because they can cause more problems than they solve. And they've always told me not to use bubble bath and other bath chemicals, for the same reason, it can cause yeast infections.

No, I've never asked specifically about the shot being a culprit, but I will next time I have a chance to call in.

He's had 3 or 4 other women before me an heliked them just fine.

Ironically the first time he was ever in my vagina messing around he said I smelled nice and I smelled sweet, and I was on bc then too, now he says I am musky and unpleasant, Which is why he's asked me to go to the dr an inquire about yeast infections and stuff.

I'm not sure if Depo-Provera can cause a change in your natural odor or not since I've never been on it due to the fear of excessive weight gain. I have noticed that certain soaps tend to react badly with my body's chemistry, namely Lever2000. Just like not all perfumes smell good on everyone, not all soaps make your pussy smell clean and fresh. Also, having frequent intercourse can cause you to smell bad from the mixture of semen and vaginal secretions which have a different pH.

I use the Mirena IUD for birth control which doesn't cause weight gain because the hormones are released very slowly over 5 years, although it's the same medication in Depo-Provera. It has also stopped me from having menstrual cycles.

FlamingRedHead, I believe you have to of had children prior to using IUD's. Dr's are not willing to prescribe IUD's for women who have not I've always been told, from others here, who've wanted it.

On a side note , Is it automatically stopping your periods, as in a gaurentee or is it something that COULd but is not gaurenteed to happen? I don't get periods either, but it wasn't a gaurentee it was only a hope.

Most doctors don't want to prescribe an IUD for someone who hasn't had a child because it can make insertion difficult and the risk for puncture is greater. As with any medication, there are no guarantees. I was one of the "lucky" 20% to experience amenorrhea, although I've discovered that antibiotics can cause breakthrough bleeding due to the weakening effect they have on hormone contraceptives.

i have an IUD and have not had children. i also had to find a specialist to do the procedure. it was not without side effects as my uterus became used to the idea of having the device in it, but now i wouldn't trade it. my need for the IUD was also medical, though, as medications i am on render hormonal birth control ineffective, and i wasn't willing to risk my mental health on depo.

Cramping for the first day and mild pelvic soreness for a couple of days after. A copper IUD can actually cause heavier bleeding as the body adjusts to having it in there. If you normally have heavy periods with lots of cramps and clots, your body could potentially expel the device, which is another reason doctors don't want to prescribe them for women who have never had a child.

The Mirena IUD caused frequent headaches which were relieved with Tylenol or Advil for the first 3 months as my body adjusted to the different hormone. I had been on Loestrin Fe for 10 years. My PMS was noticable, also, as the hormones adjusted. After 3 months, I had no more headaches, no more periods and no more PMS! Woo hoo!!!

Tell him to put a mint in his mouth before fingering you. The predominant aroma on his tongue will override most other scents. Plus, if he can get passed his distaste it makes a nice tingle on the lips.

All hormonal birth control products have this possiblity as they all change your hormone levels, which effect the amount, consistency and pH balance of your vaginal discharge. It very well could be the depo.

It also can be diet or stress, too.

On the side-topic of depo provera, in general: I loved, loved it. I had no side effects during the 3 times I've been on it (each a different length of time). The lack of menstruation was heaven.

No more PMS?! Wonderful... That IUD doesnt sound too bad. I'm glad that some people tried depro with good results because that wasnt my experience. My mom gained 100 lbs in 2 years. (They were treating her menopause with it). That caused a bunch of other health issues, which became surgery and so on and so on...
However, I'm anti establishment at this point. Trust the FDA? Not...
How come we dont know what the indians did? I bet theres a damn herb somewhere. wanders off*

      It seems the BC might be messing with your PH down there and causing the smell. However, are you sure the problem isn't just his problem? Just like some women can't stand the taste and consistancy of semen, there must be some men out there who freak about about a woman's fluids. Given that he didn't mind when he was first seducing you, and now suddenly it's a problem, I would be somewhat suspicious that he just had a problem with the whole area in general.
      On a side note, a yeast infection wouldn't really affect your smell. Yeast doesn't really smell like anything (well, bread...but who minds the smell of bread). If it were an infection, it would have to be a bacterial one (which I've heard produce terrible smells).
    On a very, very side note, Mzbehavin, the Egyptians used to use plugs of crocodile dung. I, for one, am so thrilled modern medicine has spared us that.

I don't have any side effects from depo, no weight gain instability in moods or nothing.

The only negative thing I would say is that sometimes my arm hurts for day and days and days. that and I develope a tiny little bump where I was injected.
