Hi All. I became good friends with another sub on Colarme, and through her, I found out how proud she feels to be able to wear her Collar all the time. I was wondering, if anyone else has been collard, and because of Vanilla work conditions or living arrangements, can't wear a Leather Collar? Do you or your Sub wear a Necklace, Wrist or Ankle Bracelet in place of the Leather one?

Thank you Mistress La'Dee. It's great to know and I would love something like that, since I am into Shoes and Tights so much. I would hope when I do get another Mistress, she would have some great tastes like you.

i see nothing wrong with a female wearing a leather collar, or even a steel/metal collar. Who cares what other think about it, they look good. Id def have my girlfriend or sub collard if we were into the bdsm/bondage scene.

if i were a sub, id wear one as well. Who cares what some strangers think.

when i've been owned long enough to be given a collar, i would hope that the type and circumstances surrounding the wearing will have been discussed, and i will wear it proudly and with full knowledge of the signifiance of it. until then, i wear an invisible one, which shows my integrity and honour.

Yes it happens all the time. Stainless steel collars, wrists or anklets are usually the solution. I have heard of one girl sueing her employer for discrimination mind you :-)

Depending on how the "collar" looks, it's not so much about what "strangers on the street" think, it's about what the company you work for thinks.

If you had a child and their 5th grade teacher wore a huge thick leather collar to work everyday, i'm pretty sure the PTA and School Board would have a "problem" with that.. and that teacher could possibly lose his/her job.

It's nice if you have a job where they allow you to dress pretty much how you want, but in some situations it is just not appropriate to wear a very obvious sort of "BDSM collar", you know?

BalletBob ~ sorry i don't have an answer for your question.. i do like the idea of an anklet, that someone brought up, though. :)

as for the job, i agree, if it isnt proper, then mabye get some type of collar thats Jewelry or something "socially acceptable". But i was refering to just going outside, to the mall, etc etc. if your scared or worried about what people would think walking by you, then this type of lifestyle probably isnt for you

Ever since I read the story of O I always found the idea of a heavy engraved steal ring so much more subtle and erotic than a collar. Of course the love of my life wants to get a tatoo to mark her as my property.

bob if you look at my photo , that was my everyday collar , which i wore 24/7 and still do just because i feel empty without it on . Now it represents my slave hood , i love it and its stylish ....oops in another photo on my profile is my leather one the one in this picture was my formal gold rope one . The leather one held more value to me.

Hi Sweet. Yes, that's what I was getting at, what subs can use, besides the Leather Collar, to signify the same thing, being owned and controled by someone else.

So far my Favorite, is the Anklet...but I already explaned that. It wil of course, depend on my next Mistress, and what she want's, if she does desire to Collar me.

Being Submissive to my Master 24/7 does not mean I have to wear a leather or metal collar all the time.. I do wear "something" all the time, be it a necklace, bracelet, anklet, or even just the "mark" Master put on me during my collaring ceremony.. It is not necessary to wear a pc of jewlery all the time.. You are collared in your mind, body, and soul.. You KNOW you are collared and you live that way every day of your life. It is nice to be able to wear something showing however. Even a pretty ribbon around the neck is very vanilla, and looks normal to those who do not know about your lifestyle. I personally have a very thin, plain, leather band I wear in public alot. It is simply held on with velcro.
I am most happy when I am in my training collar !

Well daddy made me a thick leather bracelet and a collar .... the bracelet i only take it off to go to work....
and how he was the one who made it it has alot of value to me...

I'll address the issue of a male sub and what he could wear as symbolic for every day use. I have seen several wearing ID bracelets. Those heavy chain bracelets with an ID plate on them. They could have their Mistress' name or Master's name or even initails engraved on the plate. Also they could possibly wear some sort of band around their testicles with an ID tag hanging from that, that virtually nobody but themselves, knows it's there. A ring would work also... Anyone have any other ideas?

Wow..thanks Lethrsubby. Now I like the band around the Testical, so much better than the others. I'l have to kep that one in mind, when I get a Mistress.
