So, the bat is not found.  Talking to the "nature center" I have learned that this is the season for  the  time of year when juvenile bats start flying/exploring. So, we likely had a teenage-bat on a joyride.  Great.  Just what I needed.  I freeckin teenage bat.

And, going back to the point raised "If you wouldn't travel so much," what could you have done to prevent the juvenile delinquent bat from entering your home?

She's a mom. She has eyes in the back of her head. Of course she would have been able to spot the thing and swat it out of the air.

Or not, but that's how kids feel.

One quick question, if you've already won a couple hundred million, why would you need to corner the winter clothes market? You would already be stinkin rich!

The answer is simple, by controlling the winter clothing market in a new ice age, people will have to come to me to get winter clothing.

All they have to do to get a warm coat is to demand I be made world emperor.

She could have stuck a note on her front door telling him to go to you instead [8|]

Yeah Phoenix, I'm right there with ya......tax time, I'm gettin' me one of those honkers!  With all the cool attachments and stuff!  I have an old Mixmaster that a friend gave me, and it works, but it overheats when I really get to baking.....and I do love me some baking......Christmas is going to be great this year!

Maybe your mom's mixer could just sorta "fall" into a box when you're moving?  [:)]

Gosh I love your ideas [:D]

Down side is I would have to go home this year to accidentially get it into my package in the first place [8|]

And...talking to parents on the phone is...ok...going home...is not quite on top (or anywhere near that) of my enjoy list [&:]

But yep, christmas is going to be great [:)]

1-2 new furrys will be moving in AND a mixer [:D]

Now....who said I would be saving a heck of a lot of money with that move??? [8|]

Certainly not when I keep buying kitten and buying stuff like that [&:]

But gosh am I lookig forward to have a proper kitchen at last [:)]

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/2/2010 11:33:47 PM)

I would really love to put up a christmas tree, but with the 4 kittehs, I don't know if it would be standing long.  Smooch would definitely climb it, and of course, there are  the ornaments to consider.  I know there are plastic ornaments, but the last time I did put a tree up, I only had KB, and I was finding ornaments in closets and under the fridge in April!  Maybe just lights, garland and bows......I dunno, by the time Christmas gets here, I may have decided not to have it.

PeanutTigerinBox -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/3/2010 4:12:23 AM)

I know what you mean S2S I had considered to put one up in 2007 when I moved here but then didn't get around to actually do it and right now I won't do it not only because of the cats but also as I know I will be moving again when I leave this isle (or at least I am not giving up on that plan [>:]) and quite frankly I don't fancy to waste money into all the decoration part when it then won't survive my cats and my moving...so for me that will have to wait until I left this isle.

Also this year I have a heck of a lot of costs coming up with needing new floors, getting 1-2 new kitten, needing furniture and potentially needing a washing machine as well (I think there was none in that flat [&o]....seems all my savings start to disappear now [&o]).

All that stuff together costs me easily 2000 pound and so quite frankly a christmas tree is not on my list yet...

Hi all!

How is everyone doing this morning?

I am having annoying headache which just doesn't seem to wonna go away...woke up with my feet in cat pee followed by catching the lil ones out whilst they started to strip off my wallpaper in my kitchen [8|]

But apart from that all is fine [:D]

I got one loan in today and seems another one is about to come in, at least if that guy who called me is correct about it, which means if that is the case I would be able to pay the rest of my deposit to my future estate agent tomorrow [:)]

also I already got shifts at my future living place sorted for october, which is on top of that only 5-10 minute walk away from my new flat and it seems there are many shifts going as the poor guys have quite high needs...thank goodness I worked as a live in carer lives ago, so I am not easily shocked and overwhelmed...[:)]

Good Morning, Holly!

Good Morning, Aylee!

Good Afternoon, Phoenix!

Last night i brought Master home from the hospital.  They said it was NOT a heart attack.  So after 48 hours and a bunch of tests the cardiologist told him to reduce the acid in His food!
So i asked if we should ignore the "chest pains" in the future.  The doc said that he should still get checked if the chest pains required nitro three times in 15 minutes.

i gave Him back His truck keys last night.  It was nice to have wheels for a couple of days even if all i did was drive between the house and the hospital.

groundhogphil -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/3/2010 8:07:35 AM)

good morning everyone.....

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/3/2010 9:48:57 AM)

Hey all......how's everyone's day going so far?  I am looking at a totally clean apartment....at least the damn insomnia is good for something.....I just need to find something good to clean and shine my wood floors....I tried Orange Glow, it cleans good, but seems to leave a dull film on the floor.  I'd wax it, but it is already too slippery as it is.....which is funny when the kittehs are trying to get a running start, or trying to stop, but when it's bad enough that I can slip on  it when I have socks on, the last thing I need is wax!  I'm too much of a klutz as it is.  (Not exactly in Holly's class, but pretty close!  [;)])

soul2share -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/3/2010 9:56:11 AM)

Fluffy....any chance he had an anxiety attack?  Severe ones often mock the exact warning signs and feel like a heart attack.....I've had a few of them that almost sent me to the ER, but I know what they are, so I just let them pass.  The only thing is I don't get chest pains, it's more like feeling uncomfortable.  The scariest part for me is when my face and arms go totaaly numb, then start the "bugs crawling" sensations on my arms. I've even been woken up out of a sound sleep by attacks before, so it's not anything that's exactly triggered by a stressful event.  Me being stressed has NEVER triggered an attack.  And I'm not sure how nitro would effect an anxiety attack, since it's actually triggered by the release of adrenaline into the system, and not a heart episode.  My average beats per minute when suffering an attack is about 130 beats per minute, and it feels a bit thready.  Sometimes, if I feel one coming, I can actually stop it by regulating my breathing....I just breathe in deep and hold it til my heart returns to a normal rhythm.

I'm sorry that you two went thru such a scare.....I do hope everything is going well with you both.  {{{{{hugs}}}}}

tropicalhoney -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/3/2010 10:17:51 AM)

Good afternoon all

fluffy, I am so happy that hear that Master Rich is home and that it was not a heart attack. Lucky that you are there to take good care of him.

soul2share, I wish I still had the label on the stuff I use to clean and polish the wood floor cause it is great. It's definitely not Orange Glow, it is in a tan bottle, I pour some on and spread it around. Leaves the floors nice, but not too slippery which is good cuz I am another Klutz. Next time I head to Home Depot I will try to figure out what it is.

What do you think? Shall we have a Klutzy tag?

Off to finish moving things around now that I have the painting mostly done.

ShaharThorne -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/3/2010 10:27:41 AM)

Back again.  Did a MRI of my back and hips.  Went grocery shopping with Mom, she did most of the food with I got some zingers, M&Ms (small pack), 8 skeins of yarn so I can get started on the peace sign afghan[sm=hippie.gif]...oh yea, the magic shell stuff you pour on ice cream that makes a hard shell.  I am planning to have the kiddos try it out on the vanilla ice cream.

Got to get stitching...between ladybugs, penguins, lack of firefox (or it is foxfire?) peace signs and Mom tighting the financial reins a bit more, I am going to have to do some sweet talking to get to Austin soon.

I am glad someone is paying me for my work.
