I'd wax it, but it is already too slippery as it is.....which is funny when the kittehs are trying to get a running start, or trying to stop, but when it's bad enough that I can slip on  it when I have socks on, the last thing I need is wax!  I'm too much of a klutz as it is.  (Not exactly in Holly's class, but pretty close!  [;)])

yeah that brings back my memories when my dad waxed our wooden floor and the cat had now idea about....until it did some surfing on there towards the balcony door [&:] He was not impressed [>:]

I just talked to mom and dad is coming over to lie my floors [:)] So no need to pay any stranger to do it [:)] And as little as I like my dad...I can't deny that he knows what he is doing in that respect [:)]

About the KitchenAid mixer. The new ones are crap. Prior to about five years ago they had metal gears. Now they have plastic and they break.

If you find an older one with the metal gears, great. Otherwise get a Viking. Not as pretty but as good as the old Kitchen Aides

but that can vary from country to country. I know that the one in the shop had its gears in metal (how I am used to it from home) and here they still claim full metallic:

HUZZAH for Fluffy's master! All good news is even more welcome than usual these days!!

HONESTLY, though! HEARTBURN IS NOT THE SAME!!

I have so little respect for most of the medical profession. Go to school for twelve years to blow people off? Yeah.

If I am walking for about 5 minutes or more, my right hip would start hurting.  Same when standing up for more than 5 minutes.  We are afraid of having DBD since the x-rays is showing some wear and tear to some degree that is worrying the doctor.

I am on a secret mission for the NWO, I have been tasked with making someone on these boards more paranoid.

So you are spying for the Freemasons now?

Tuesday, I will have an EMG done.  All of these tests should be enough that I am a human not an android...

So. .  . I am good with my Kitchan Aid mixer that I bought with my "getting married" money seven years ago?

Because the thing works like a charm.

Hi folks,

merlin left the nest now to his new home...despite that I originally wanted to keep him...

well, I would have kept him definitely if I would have the space!!!

However, originally Urmel was about to leave the nest to a uni friends sister...very originally that uni friend was meant to have one of my boys but did not get it as I had decided at that time to keep them anyway...now that uni friend couldn't take him once I changed my mind (as I knew anyway) as she got a persian cat by then from somewhere else.

However, as her nieces are very fond her new lil cat she asked her sister and so now her sister came to here to get a cat.

So the plan was that Urmel is leaving...but Urmel was making sure to stay far away, hiding in his tunnel...whereas Merlin decided "new people, let me explore them". He climbed up on that sisters leg, snuggled on her lap and felt asleep...

I think you can't see it any better that he felt very comfortable indeed on her lap. Therefore I ignored my own original desire to keep him as I think he would have been marvellous on a cat show for his markings (I am not fond of such shows as such, however I would have given it a go in his case due to continuing a little bit longer on breeding birmans and due to his markings being as great as they look to me) and followed his instinct to get to know her.

Therefore now Merlin is gone to his new home, will have a dog and 2 lil kids to play with and they know that birmans can become depressed if they are without other cats, so if she feels he isn't happy she would get him company...but maybe he will be one of the few ones in that breed who is fine on his own with the company of the dog and kids.

Now only time will tell if Urmel will stay with his mom or not...it is a bit sad, but if I can't give them away then is no point to continue a little bit...then it would be time to stop for good right now.

And it means if I change my mind again with her next litter I would just be able to keep all of them for me and for their mommy [:)]

At least I know he will have a good home as I know that at least his aunty (my unimate) is a cat freak as I am and so I don't doubt it when she recommends her sister [:)]

And normally I would have kept him until he is 13 weeks old, which is the breeder requirement here, but with moving right now it would mean to relocate him to the new place only then to move him again around, which isn't great either. He is 8.5 weeks old now, litter trained and eating by himself...so like many other cats in that age he is able to move on...I hope he will enjoy his new place...

I tell my neurologist that she's a sadist when she does that test!  She gives me something to squeeze during the testing.

That's the outside they say is full metal, not the interior gearing. KitchenAid only has the one factory in China, not two. I'd pin them down on it before you spend all that much money.

What...am I to be quiet while enduring this test?  I want to be vocal...and I do not mean moaning and groaning...

thornhappy -> RE: The Holly and Potty Show (9/4/2010 9:57:47 PM)

Well, you don't want to scare the children.  I'd just quietly swear.  Once or twice I blasphemed.
