That's gotta be frustrating for the OP.

Ok, lets say it is frustrating - although I dont think that online thread on message board can truly cause such deep frustrations - but tell me honestly, did you ever manage to solve really frustrating situations by screaming and loosing your temper in public? If you did, congratulations. I, on the other hand, find that only strict control over myself and calming down can help me solve frustrating situations that involve other people.
I have plenty of that on my work and trust me, if I started to scream around on my collegues I would just make things worse.

I know that great scene in Cabaret when Lisa Minelli screams out her frustrations, but it just doesnt work that way every time one is frustrated.

Tempestspet -> RE: Are slaves allowed opinions (11/13/2005 9:23:00 AM)

I'm allowed opinions. Then again, I handle much of Master's business for him. This is one of the ways I serve him.
I couldn't do that if I weren't allowed opinions. Master wouldn't own someone who couldn't handle their own lives, much less help with his.

There are someone who wish their slave not to have opinions, that's ok. Just a different style, and one isn't better or worse than the other. Just different.

Let's try to follow the great example set by jennifer and continue to focus on the thread.Lets leave personal attacks and thoughts on individuals off forum and in private so the discussion on 'Are Slaves Allowed Opinions' can continue.

you and i both, and sometimes i feel that i could express them a little less vehemently, but i'm working on that. doesn't help being irish and southern, but with perseverance, i'll hopefully get there without being too much worse for it.

we all have opinions, but again, it is how, where, and in what manner that we choose to express them that shows the reflection of not only who we are, but of any Domianants/Masters/Mistresses whom we also reflect. i wish you all well.

SirSix72 -> RE: Are slaves allowed opinions (11/13/2005 10:21:56 AM)

Greetings,

Here is the point where many think a slave/kajria is a doormat because she hasnt any limits or is only allowed them by thier Owner. I see a struggle from within many submissives about slaves being less than they are and many stand up and shout that a slave's opinoin should be her Masters opinions.......WRONG.......I values what my slaves have to say and how they feel but let this also be understood I WONT let their opinoin judge how I will control them at any given time. If I and the slave feel that a boundry is about to be crossed or pushed this is where I communicate with them but on a logical level without letting emotions guide the experience. I think that this almost falls under my thread about emotional limits. I see many many persons that let their emotions rule thier Masters/Mistresses/Dom/Sir's. Logic can overcome any emotion and the guidence and compassion of a Godd Master can overcome these issues.

If i had not opinions, what would be fun aboute me for my Master then? sex? sex can be fun but make up only a tiny part of the whole of a relationship, even if one rules and the other obeys do not mean that one is a mindless robot. While it might be pepole that want a living blow up Barbara, most want a living, thinking breathing person.

Belladonna82 -> RE: Are slaves allowed opinions (11/13/2005 12:01:02 PM)

Since starting this Thread many people keep commenting on the Master in which i serve...but with this topic its not very important.Moderator 10 got to the point...lets stick to the topic of "THIS" thread and not others.Yes, i am a slave and my opinions are very simular to the Master i serve but Master has always allowed me to voice my thoughts...like one of the other posters said if they wanted someone without thoughts they would collar a blow up doll. There are a few ,no names given, that do not like Master or i...which is their choice but some need to relize that this is just a topic...not war...if you want to see war go somewhere else.

The topic was: Are slaves allowed opinions.....
a good answer might of been ,no...because, or yes...because.....

Not "your topic is just like your Master's other topic"

Please stick to the OP and not some off the wall crap

Bravo, bravo, some seam to think that it is so inportant to be right, to win a discussion, but there is no winners or loosers in a discussion, only the discussion itself and what one can learn along the way. This is not the place to fight the wars of ego.

Belladonna82 -> RE: Are slaves allowed opinions (11/13/2005 12:04:44 PM)

i'd guess its a good thing i do not belong to you Ma'am..Master likes me showing how i feel.....i'm not a mute and thats the way Master likes it

Belladonna82 -> RE: Are slaves allowed opinions (11/13/2005 12:06:19 PM)

Thank you nephandi.....i wasnt wanting a "Oh yes all slaves can have opinions" the whole time. i've always liked diffrent opinions as long as they come across is a very constructive way.....

That's comforting to *believe*, but not necessarily true.

Logic and emotion are completely unrelated. Sometimes, by understanding the logic of a situation, you can change the emotion involved, or simply over-rule it.

But sometimes, it just doesn't work.

Logic and emotion do not speak the same language.

nephandi -> RE: Are slaves allowed opinions (11/13/2005 12:38:45 PM)

i agree, for example, i love discussing whit pepole whit totaly different opinions than me, as long as the discussion is polite and constructive. Some pepole however can not stand if somone have another opinion of themself, they are right and everybody else is wrong, i know i somtimes get angry and bite back, but i try to not, for that definitly dont make things more constructive.

I completely agree with this -

This is akin to the (absolutist approach) "A dominant must conrol their emotions".

Never gonna happen, as long as people remain human.
