Yes, being OPINIONATED can be a very good thing when balanced with temperance, understanding, openness, good judgement and education.

Otherwise you just have people flying off at the mouth and covering it all up by saying "Well it's just my opinion" and acting like that somehow makes it all ok.

In public, among the free, a slave HAS no opinion.. Now thats not to say she can't think what she wants.. But she damned well better mind her "thoughts" well in the presence of others, particularly the free. So when I say the has no opinion, I mean she's not smart to express it openly.

As in discussions among men.. my slave can think what she wants, and on occaision, even ask me about a discussion privately afterward.. But she needent open her mouth about that discussion while its going on.

There are many issues where slaves have no opinion.. its often time very hard to train her HOW to express her "opinions" is a respectful manner. for ME.. a girl mak "ask" anything.. But she always need be mindfull about HOW she asks..

To emphasize my point.. there are many slaves here.. who HAVE opinions.. but damned sure know better than to express them here.. They know full well what end of a whip they will end up on, should they say something "out of place".

To us, how can you possess someone without wanting to know everything about them, including their thoughts, opinions and feelings? It helps you to learn more about them, what motivates them, what their turn offs are, how to avoid emotional, spiritual, and mental damage, how best to help them grow, etc.

Status: offline 		If my slave didn't have opinions, wasn't intelligent enough to voice them properly, or didn't use the mind she has...well....she wouldn't be My slave....even those that most think are harder on slaves in this since, the Goreans, can quote verses where even in the books, slaves have minds, and use them often, even to the point of having opinions.....of course they seldom share them with many WEG

Status: offline 		The first thing I thought to ask, after reading the first post, was, "Was it a slave who said you shouldn't have opinions?"

If a slave has said that, I'd hope they could see the irony in it. Giving their opinion about not having opinions.

My answer, though, would have to be: If a Dominant wishes an intelligent slave (which most appear to desire), H/She'd logically have to allow for opinions to be expressed. That is, of course, unless H/She's discovered a way to completely explore an individual without verbal communication. Even if They only allowed opinions in the beginning, claiming They'd learned all They'd need to know about a submissiveat that point, it wouldn't leave room for growth in either individual; the relationship would stagnate, suffocate and die.

That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

Status: offline 		personally i prefer my submissive to have an opinion. there is something that truly bugs me, and that thing is a woman who cannot stand up for herself and express herself to the man she is with. there is something about a woman who is not able to show her true self to the man she is with. i have several people i knwo that have eben so beaten down by the men that they are with to the point that they cannot even look anyone else in the eye when their men are with them. this bugs me and shows me that there are men out there who cannot take the fact that their women have opinions

Status: offline 		As i stated before, i am a mere reflection of who owns me , and try my hardest not to open my mouth and make him look aweful because of my stupidity at the moment. Its called think before you speak. Master likes the fact i am who i am . i am a slave who has opinions and he likes that. When i feel i am upset We talk, and talk some more. How i see it, if i have a problem with someone he can more than handle it if it is BDSM related. there is no need for myself to get involved if he is my owner he will handle the problem. He has a defined role as well as his property in the relationship. This is what makes it work well, i know my place , as His slave, and know He will take care of what He values. So back to getting into it with others on the board, i am owned and if someone wants to attack me , they attack my Master, and he will handle it himself without me being involved.
Bella and Six , respectfully i remember receiving a email out of the blue from six where he stated i wasn't a slave because i have limits, well.... all i can say is i walk . talk , and reflect my owner in a respectful way in which He Expects of me , He owns me and decides what and who i am , not others. Worry more about your relationship , than how others perceive you , because You and He are in it not them.
