Alrighty then Pixel, you've got questions and comments so I'm here to oblige.

Thank you for taking the time to do so.  Like you, I don't wish to carry this further and would like to be able to consider it as "water over the dam".  That being said, I feel a need to respond to a couple of your comments, but not in a manner that's intended to continue any conflict or agitate things between us as I'd like to be friends.

I apologize for the cheap moniker hit

Thank you for saying so, apology accepted.

As I felt it, you were band wagon jumping when it wasn't necessary to do so. I know
the relationships here and how they can work. Sort of Wally and the Beav,
if I can possibly say that in a way which won't offend. I think you get it.

I believe I understand what you're saying as I know that clique's exist here and elsewhere.  I only posted because I felt you hadn't responded to Sea's inquiry, not because I consider him one of the many friends I've made here on CM.  Rest assured, there was no collusion or coordinated double-teaming that occurred.

So when sea approached as he did, I felt it was in addition to, and
a carry over from another thread where we had recently crossed wires.

That would be between you and Sea.  I don't recall it and may not have noticed or even read that particular thread.

quote:

The three of us have crossed wires in the past, spoke our piece and moved on.

Now that part I don't particularly recall.  You'd have to refresh my memory, the closest I can recall might have possibly been in the thread about OSODD where I remember you being on the hot seat so to speak.  But if you say we crossed wires directly, I'll take your word for it.  We both have over 1200 public posts here and I can't hardly remember most of them.  LOL!  Clearly, as you say, we moved on.

quote:

The three of us have "all" pissed someone off here with our posts and opinions.
That is not likely to change anytime soon.

LOL!  Of that I have no doubt!

quote:

Now, it is my turn to chastise, as none of us is perfect in our approach. I will
say, "shame on you" for using a childs disability to advance your agenda of
"shame on me".

I agree that none of us are perfect chia, certainly not me!  My intent was not to shame you, but instead to increase your awareness of how some are affected by ADD & ADHD, which is something that I was personally dealing with at the time and as such found no humor in it.  I don't know what may have been in my words or the way in which I phrased them that gave you the impression it was my intended purpose to shame you.  If I did use such words or phrasing, for that, I sincerly and humbly apologize.  That is not my way or the way I desire to treat others; regardless of their behavior.

quote:

First and foremost, this child, and possibly myself do not have a
"disease", but we may possess a behavioral disorder, of which there are types
and severities, most often controllable with proper medication.

Whether it's a disease, illness or behavioral disorder is a matter of semantics and not relevant to the seriousness of the problem it presents to the those who have to deal with it.  As such this comment only seems to me to deflect things away from what I had issues with in regard to your comments.

I have issues, and I may wish to share them in places other than the Health
and Safety forum.

I previously apologized for that comment as being inappropriate, particularly if you did indeed did have ADD.  I'd hoped you'd accept it.  In that particular thread, I'd think it would have been off-topic and better served by another one.  But that's just my opinion.

quote:

Something I do not believe I have shared here before is the fact that I have a developmentally
disabled 47 year old younger brother, whom I have been guardian and
caregiver for since the death of my mother seventeen years ago. I have lived
a lifetime of knowing disability and many whom possess varying degress of
such. What is alway prevelent within them, is the desire to "not" be seen as
disabled, and the always present laughter in their voices and the wonderful
sparkle in their eyes.

Whether you believe me or not, I understand more than you probably would realize about about those with disabilities.  You have my greatest empathy for being able to manage the situation with your younger brother and an even greater respect for having taken on the responsibility for his care.

If I do possess Adult ADD, no big wup, just add it to
list list of infirmities which apparently wait for me just outside the door. Sigh.

Whether you do or not wasn't the issue, it was the way the comment came across as making light of the issues those who have it may struggle with.  If you don't like what you read in a thread and find it boring, you can always choose to skip over it rather than tell those who've been participating how you felt about their discussion.  I don't see my purpose here as to entertain you or others.  Sometimes that happens, when things get silly, but I don't expect to find humor in every thread I read.  To do so, IMO, would be an unrealistic expectation for me to have.  I try not to rain on others parades when they're having a discussion which is of no interest to me.  I don't go into the poly forum for example and post to them that I disagree with their chosen lifestyle.  That might not be a good example, but I hope that conveys where I'm coming from.  Ahhh, here's a better example perhaps, I simply ignore the "forced bi" threads as they're not my thing and I'd have nothing positive to add to them.

If I don't feel as though I have something to add, unless things have already become lighthearded or filled with an exchange of puns, I'm unlikely to add to it with one of my own that isn't clearly good natured.

But I'm over it, and this thread, cause I really need to move on or I'm going
to have to bang my head on something. I don't hate anyone, and hope they
don't hate me. But I'm out here, sometimes correct, sometimes not. And if
you slap me, you'll simply just wake up all those slinkys in my head. And I
will not be responsible for the carnage or aftermath. Seriously.

I hope you haven't taken this as a slap as that's not at all my intent.  If anything, this is a clarification of my intent and an explanation of where I was coming from at the time.

Be well chiaThePet, I wish you no harm.(gentle smile)

This.

Pretty much how "I" felt here.

Though I would fight to the death anyone's right to post in these forums.

Well, maybe not to the death.

Lovely bunch, but don't know about spilling blood for them.

Except maybe Ms........................................................

Have a good one, whatever that might pertain to.

I think introspection and understanding one's psychology is constructive and of practical benefit.. And I will give you the benefit of doubt and assume your post is more for sake of humor than to slam the discussion.

Cheers,

Sea

I saw chia's short post as an attempt to lighten things up and bring some humor into the mix, as he is known to do. It made me laugh.

It depends on how fat they are.
