My primary reason for remaining active in the lifestyle is helping people. I have long since realized that the things we do are products of normal psychological needs, wants, and desires. Simply put, we are not the freaks. Sadly though, I see ignorance and abuse far to often and I often feel helpless to affect any type of change on a scale large enough to make a truly positive difference in community as a whole, nor can I be a leader to all those who need guidance or a dominant to all the submissives who are lacking one. In response to this, my closest friend (wetherunderground), who I will continue to refer to as K, and I are going to make daily journal posts related to our experiences in the lifestyle that we feel others may benefit from. K is a wonderful poet, and I have a knack for explanation. Each of our daily posts will be on the same subject and it is our goal that these entries may act as sort of an advice column. We also welcome and encourage all who read our words to ask questions or make comments via emails. Looking forward to hearing from you.
From birth we are taught we learn we feel pressure from all around, a pressure so common so surrounding and so great that it becomes our guide and our example of what it is that we are to be. we are told how to love how to live how to fuck and think. this is repeated so often that we come to believe it to righteous, but know matter how much we try we are never able to find true balance or happiness in our lives. we are never able to see our own value release ourselves from our anxieties or take pleasure in our humanity. we are told these things by our parents teachers and leaders so often and so genuinely that we feel they must be true. we all have within us the ability to release ourselves from such brutal masochism. the vessel of this catharsis is our uniquely human ability to be introspective and our common desire to pursue that which we need to be complete and satisfied with our lives. some of us in our quest find these hidden desires which we have labeled the lifestyle. we are told by those who propagate untruths and encourage self deceptive ways that our desires are aberrant or perverse. i can not disagree more. these things we have discovered in ourselves come from natural places, places that inspire us to protect and places that make us feel safe. these desires we have are not perverse, they are the gifts to all those willing to explore themselves and they are the most precious, basic and normal aspects of us. if guided correctly down the journey of sexual and mental adventure you will find enlightenment. your sexual identity is the basis of you it is uniquely yours, it is the fingerprint of your past and the path to your future. something so sacred is worth exploring but only in it's entirety. anything less would be to adulterate yourself with social venom. when made to feel shame guilt or anything negative for expressing the beautiful and natural truth of yourself i encourage you challenge those bemoaning your perversion to look not only you in the eye but to stare into the abyss of their lives and ask one simple question am i happy. the answer will likely be yes but the clear truth will be no. the deception in their face will be clear and the crackle of their voice will be loud. to safely navigate the path of enlightenment you must be wise as the serpents yet innocent as the doves. this is the balance we wish to help you find. we are told not to ask, only to believe. we want you to explore to doubt and to challenge all that which you carry that slows your life brings you sadness and makes you tired and ashamed. always remember that the devils greatest trick was making men believe he does not exist. what a better way to turn us to evil than to make us hate all that is truly human all that brings us natural and beautiful pleasure and most importantly each-other. we look forward to your questions and comments. our stockings were stuffed
with razors
and some one elses bible
and coal.

that our skin might match
our conciouses.
so now dirty and hairy
we opened birthday presents
wrapped in the past.
we opened them to find
glossy magazines, baseball gloves
and diets.
all to be weighed on our forfarthers scales.
so we stayed hungry
and covered all the mirrors
in all the houses.
now hungry and dirty and hairy
we tried to escape.
some slipped through
urban cracks
to be seen never again.
others jumped suburban fences
and ran and ran
only to run into themselves
in another time at another place
again and again.
a few floated out of rural chimnies-
still floating...
and some of us happened upon
a strange new place.
where there is an abundance of
leather,
crosses appeared as
X s,
and everything was
tethered.
and magic titles appeared-
Masters, Lords and Sirs.
surely they KNOW,
with names like that
they must!
they could bathe, shave and feed us.
our personal implosions were
inevitable,
if they didnt!
(and as oft the case)
we learned instead
how to kneel and beg,
and how to flawlessly pronounce
their names and titles.
and we helped write their fairy tale.
anal sex is spiritual,
if we know how and why,
and if we dont
well
we remain dirty Eves
and cockless Adams.
hungry
because we were not princes
we have learned to act like them.
we do not have the answers
or your answers.
we have
the questions.
that you might find
your own truths
not a books,
not your masters
nor your parents.
we are not shining Knights,
(we are the Paper Street Soap Co)
but we will
hold your hand
or fuck you
until your knight gets here...
