quote:
ORIGINAL: subbysubsubsub How do we know his intentions are bad? What kind of person enters a room and immediately makes a declaration that he knows what is best for everyone? I don't think "good" or "bad" is the way to think about things here. There's no way to judge internal motivation based on his OP. However, "full of himself" and "shallow" are accurate descriptions, based on his lack of social grace and the uninformative content of his post. Moreover, "fragile ego" and "it's all about him" are also accurate, which you can gather from his followup post that the goal of most people was to ruin his evening, rather than to set the record straight for anyone new who might be reading. Bad advice is worse for new people than no advice at all. Remember: it's not the things you don't know that hurt you, it's the things you know that aren't true.
