I originally created a profile on CM to hopefully meet a Dom that would turn into a long-term relationship. I eventually found my way to the message boards and found myself laughing at some of the antics in Polls & Other Random Stupidity. It took me a while to work up the nerve to post because I did see some pretty nasty comments made about other people's posts in the more "serious" threads. But I rarely saw that in P&ORS, so I started posting there and have slowly branched out to occasionally post elsewhere on the boards.

I met an incredibly special man on the boards and so now I am here because I love making new friends and interacting with the ones I have made already, I enjoy the flirting that happens on occasion, I love reading other people's opinions even when I don't always agree with them, I love laughing at some of the crazy things that are posted (or is that some of the crazy people that post?!), but mostly because there is such an underlying feeling of support from people I have come to know and like here on the boards.

I found my Sir on CM, and now i use the boards for fun and education.

I came here for many of the same reasons as many I suppose, I wanted to explore myself and find friendships... and IF I were to meet someone, thats cool but its not what I'm lookin for. Conversation and "learning" about things I didn't even know existed before are vital to my growth as a human being, I think. Be it good, bad, ugly, scary or even in my views weird... it maybe one or all of those things, but I'm facinated to learn. Here is one of my many "classrooms" I suppose.

The boards here also pushed me in to meeting some of my local communtiy, and that was a really great expirince... I don't know that I would have worked up the "courage" to go and meet the wonderful people I did if not for reading in the "positive expirinces" threads... [:)]

I use it to talk to those who are friends and to read the forums and sometimes respond. That's about it really.

When i have time, i will sign on to read the forums, occassionally will post. The first year or so that i joined, i never used this site, since figured was mostly a 'dating'scene. Then i discovered the forums, which have been a help to me in many ways. There are some wonderful people here and i do enjoy reading their thoughts and opinions.

originally to find someone, in the process of which ive learnt heaps, changed heaps and enjoyed the people on here heaps.

not having an active community where i live, having a kid that keeps me from finding a community further afield, oftentimes this is where i can kick back and enjoy the banter on topics i enjoy reading and sometimes contributing to, like now, for instance.

its just a nice place to hang with a cup of tea and a biscuit - who mentioned donuts

Not self-depreciation...but as a virgin with no experience with BDSM, I simply don't have anything to contribute.

I am here for all the above mentioned reasons ... there are some  side spitting laughs.. some really good advice,and some people who should just be banned from the gene pool  lol.... but it takes all kinds to keep this place alive and kicking..along the way I meet some interesting people with some really great minds and I like to watch them and pick up on the things they say .and then I have meet the ones that if you ever need a good laugh just find a thread they are on and hold on  lol...

This is also in defence of this community which has been called 'flaky' and is the subject of another thread.
So why are you on collarme?

...all of the above, plus a few other things...it's become my home -- the place to come when i need comfort, entertainment, education, laughter and tears... friends..and most of all, to learn how to make lemonade outta kumquats.
