Asking my new MIL what to bring for Christmas dinner (since I love to cook) and she immediately goes into how yams would be wonderful and WAIT! She's already bought them and then proceeds to tell me how to cook them just like she does and that really I just need to cook them and bring them since she doesn't have room in her fridge and oh by the way, she'll get them to me at some point before Christmas....

(Ok, so I was laughing under my breath as I was agreeing with her but it still made my eyes roll a bit.)
