Ok.... Had to give up and Google "Weetabix". UK Mini Wheats. ahhhhh.... Come'on Shakti, lighten up. Peon is just having a touch of fun. I find his light hearted, flirtatious banter to be just his 'British Git' way of trying to fit in. It helps to lighten the general mood on the boards. I know the one day that he and I were carrying on was a particularly bad day for me and his silliness did a great deal to lift my spirits. But then, I also enjoy Malloves69 and all his [:D][:D][:D]. Somedays... life and the boards can get to bogged down in the seriouse stuff. Everyone needs a little levity now and then.

I am dangerously close to the point of just ignoring any thread that Peon starts or joins, simply because I'm learning that if he's around, I can expect page-after-page of "banter" which is directed at one woman pivately and won't even be tangental to the topic. When I click on a topic it's generally because I'm interested in what people have to say about it. shrug Sue me.

Shakti, I'd have appreciated a mail with your comment about my bantering rather than an open comment here - not least because that wouldn't have attracted the argument we appear to have now. I also think the "page-after-page" comment was completely over the top. Finally, you've commented - and at length, to me - from what I recall, on at least some of the threads I've started. From the number of hits on those, I don't think people find them entirely tedious to read. It's true that I do feel a certain, slight coldness about this forum at times. I can't, and won't try to, adapt myself to that. Yet I'm a veteran of other forums and I realise now that I've assumed a general style that isn't appropriate here. So, as I said before, "point taken". I'll tone down the banter. I suggest now that, to stop this turning into a spat and compounding the problem, we all take it to mail.

PforH and I have had private email (sorry PforH, it's now guilt by association), so I'm hoping he won't mind my derailing his thread. There are lots of threads that aren't going to appeal to someone, either because of the topic or because of the poster. Obviously, everyone is going to experience a certain thread differently. Given that we still, at least for a limited amount of time, have free speech in this country, rather than trying to change someone's behaviour, perhaps it would best to "vote with one's feet" if one doesn't find a particular thread to one's taste. Edited to add: PforH, why not start a thread where all those dominas in need of flirtation and/or cheering up can come to you to get their needs met? It would be an admittedly different form of service, but a form of service, none the less.

I do not WANT to block intelligent and attractive people just because they like to flirt, I just want them to play footsies under the table rather than on top of the table. Well, I just wouldn't click on that link. Problem solved. That's certainly the way I handle other threads that are about subjects that don't interest me, like "Toilet Service Thread Number Five Billion and Six" and "Bitter Misogyny Revisited", not to mention "Heterosexual Males Sucking Cock".
