I've had this happen when I get out of bed after an orgasm...my blood pressure drops and my hearing goes down to about 1/2 of normal. But it's back within about 5 minutes or so.

Thanks Kalista! I did try chewing gum, but no luck. Maybe it was coincidental timing, I don't know.

I was thinking it would come back quickly too, so I didn't panic.... at first. Now I am a little unnerved.

I have had the ears ringing thing before along with what sounded like chimes and churchbells, but that was a special circumstance ;).

I hesitate to intrude here, but I've had this happen too. I googled furiously, and ended up finding something more or less comforting that said this happens to some women <cough> over a certain age. But I can't find it again now.

My hearing has always come back within 15-20 min, though I'm good and thoroughly deaf up to then in one or both ears.. If it's taking you longer, probably best that you've made an appt. to see a dr.
