It's only taken me a year to work this out... I guess some take much longer.

I wondered if all those purist Doms, Dommes, subs, slaves etc had it right... you had to pick one sexual orientation and stick with it.... I was told that apparently... switches are confused.

Wrong. I'm not confused. I think Doms, Dommes, subs and slaves are all welcome to their own reality and they are quite welcome to be happy with it.

Oh... but to be switch :-).... what a glorious life I have found. My partner is switch.... I am switch..... our sex life is sublime/divine..... in fact it's perfect. No apologies.... I've found Nirvana.

My message is this.... if you think you are switch... explore that possibility... and if you are happy with it, then embrace it and enjoy :-)

People who don't understand will always try to mock, ridicule and convert.
I just tell em 'why would I want to choose between an take away pizza or a Kentucky fried chicken when I can eat a banquet every single night'

I do not know if I would consider switches confused.  I bet it is more likely they are afraid of commitment.

Switches are players. . .

If you can give your beating and get one too wouldn't you - no  I personally would not.  But I understand the logic behind switching.  I've not read enough about it yet to offer anything more than the above opinion.

Sorry...not a confused player afraid of commitment.

I'm a switch because I see no reason to limit myself.  I argee with Maria and find I enjoy my seat at the banquet too much to choose only pizza!

It's not a lack of commitment, and it dosn't make me a player. It just means that I am a complex, human who gets enjoyment from being on both sides of the kneel. No different then enjoying taking photographs and having photographs take of you.

~Fast Reply~
I like the Switch board, it gives me a different, fresh perspective.  I'm not, but I used to play with a switch & service Topped him.  I love being all sub and it's natural for me, but I always wished I could switch, experience it all, be good at it and love it as much as he did.  Unlike some individuals, I don't think switches are confused, afraid of commitment, or players.  I think they are interesting, complex people who probably have more of an understanding of the whole picture than either the strictly D-types or s-types.  Why choose when you can have it all and love it?

When i first came into this lifestyle i did a lot of research as to what a Dom, sub, switch, etc was..  I had no clue, but what i did know was that not only did i enjoy submitting to my man but i also enjoyed being in complete control, being the dominant one. I'm not confused, afraid of commitment, or a player.  I simply know what i like and am not afraid to enjoy it from both ends of the spectrum. ~Don't knock it til you try it~

Okay, I'm confused.  OP implies that there are people who disapprove of switches?

I think people who think switches are confused are confused.  There is no such thing as a "natural" dominant/submissive what have you.  Its  all about who you are standing next to.  From there its how you react to that situation.

Take your average Dom on this list and put them in say, Guatanimo as a political prisoner.  Youd see some switching I bet.

Here, we get to call our own shots.  But most still justify what they want, by holding it to be the "natural" order of things, some biological imperitave. To me, it is a signal of deep seated guilt over the darker desires, to need any justification at all.

If you're lucky enough that you're aroused by both ends of the spectrum, then go for it!

After 30 years I'm still getting the switches are just confused line. I've been a very dual-natured person my entire life. I was born that way; I did not choose it.

People who only know my domme side often say "I cannot imagine you as a submissive."  I make a great submissive for the right person, I just don't run across very many of those. When I do I tend to get, "I cannot imagine you domming anyone."

Those who know both my sides realize I'm perfectly integrated. It really is just who I am.

BTW, I am trying to ignore the "switches are players" line. Identifying as a switch can be very difficult to resolve.

Why limit yourself to bisexuality when you can have pansexuality, if that's the scenario.

Switches are confused? Always seemed to me that they're more laid back and ready to go with the flow than anything else.  What do i know though? i am but a simple person, with simple thoughts.

Question from truely clueless me. Does anyone have trouble emotionally topping? i can give some pain in service to Master, but He would really like me to do some "trash talk" occasionally. The one time i did really well, i couldn't turn back and be a good girl. We've decided not to try it again, but i hate feeling like i've failed.
