My baby is in my lap purring and licking his fur.    This is a treat for me!!

VirginPotty -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/28/2009 1:15:47 PM)

At lunch time Jolly was at the cat room door hissing at the new additons & Jilly was in the same place she was when I left this AM, under the comforter looking like a lump!

pahunkboy -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/28/2009 1:18:11 PM)

I had to laugh.   The neighbors cat was here on my porch eating my cats food.   I laughed.    Hey- it was hungry~!

I might ask them if they remember to feed their cat.  I dont mind.  He was hungry.   People in back with no cat set food out.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/28/2009 4:49:40 PM)

I now have not one, but two other cats eating my outdoor cat's food.  They are both large, overweight white cats who don't look like they need to be fed.  At first I thought there was just one until I saw them both together.  They are obviously being fed somewhere else but drop by to clean up whatever my cat doesn't eat.

My cat is on the computer chair- well it actually is a van recliner-  lol.    He is purring.  I brought his food in just in case he is not getting to eat it-

Kitty #3 was out on the lawn this afternoon eating something with great gusto.  I knew I'd regret going to see what it was, but my curiousity got the better of me.  He had caught a rather large gecko or lizard and was eating it with great enjoyment.  Ewwwwwww.  Guess the Purina One cat chow isn't interesting enough for him.

xoxkittenxox -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/29/2009 4:52:08 PM)

I dunno. Cats seem too intelligent to me. They seem to really fit the Master/slave companionship, though...

Dogs are more my fit. Intelligent without showing off. Obedient and loyal and act dumb just to humor you!

pahunkboy -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/29/2009 4:58:17 PM)

Kitty just came in and is purring and talking

Mine are recovering from their "traumatic" trip across the country......Day 1 of the trip had all 4 of them in their carriers, one hardsided one, and three soft sided ones...Day 2 finds Squeaks opening the zipper on her carrier and trying to get out, so I switch her out w/Smooch who had literally chosen the biggest carrier, the hard-sided one....Day 3 finds Smooch opening said zipper and also getting out.  So I said the heck with it and took all 4 of them out of the carriers and let them ride loose in the moving truck.  Squeaks decides that she's going to ride on my lap while hugging me and rubbing her face all over mine, and of course, Smooch has to get into my lap at the same time.  Boo and KB were good, til they discovered the dashboard......trying to convince a kitteh that they make a better door than they do a window is impossible......they were all wearing dog harnesses, which was cool, cuz it was like a handle.....I'd grab that and lift them down.  Mostly tho, Boo had dibs on the space under the passenger seat, and KB slept on the pillow on the floor between the seats.

And one nice thing about the move, once we left the apartment, the boys quit trying to attack Squeaks....the whole male territory thing, yanno.  But she's still not sure about them, when they try to rub against her or to groom her, she panics and hisses at them.....I'm sure in time, she'll be okay.  She's already getting better with them.  I just tell her she should kick their butts, she's bigger than they are!

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/29/2009 10:10:56 PM)

Today I gave the Girls wet food.  It's VERY rare that they get it.   I just got home from work, and NEITHER bowl is empty.

Hmmmm.

girlygurl -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/29/2009 10:12:33 PM)

She's sleeping on my pillow. Guess I'll have to find another.

Ialdabaoth -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/29/2009 10:15:32 PM)

at this moment, biting my big toe.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/29/2009 11:01:43 PM)

I'm trying to wean mine off the wet food......I spend more on cat food than I do people food!  And they have the plates cleaned in less than 5 minutes...little piggies!  I leave dry food down so they can graze when they get the munchies, and Squeaks actually prefers dry food to wet...not that that stops her from chowing down on it!

Yanno, I love my kittehs, but I really HATE how they can just lay their little heads down, close their eyes and be out cold in 30 seconds......especially since I'm wide awake and cant sleep!

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (9/30/2009 1:24:36 AM)

Soul.. my girls normally live on kibble.  I'm hoping that wet food will put some weight back on Gracious.  of course, this means that the Hulk (also known as Amos aka Freak) has to have it or Gracious would never get near the food.
