MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 1:29:01 PM)

Had the garage door open for a few minutes, and one of the large white cats who eats my outdoor cat's food snuck in.  I heard something running around in there and could't figure out what it was until I spotted him.  When he realized I saw him, out of the garage he ran.

Gracious has now turned her nose up at ALL the varieties of canned food.

So has Amos...

not sure if I should be worried or not.

Well since they are both turning up their noses at the canned food, maybe it's just too old and dried up?

Protecting me while I was in the kitchen starting mashed potatoes for the bbq, from that eeeeevil and dangerous little green ring shaped monster that managed to sneak in around the top of a milk jug.

yeah.

zephyrkajira -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 3:21:55 PM)

Maybe you should put it in the fridge so it doesn't dry out and take it out again when they show signs of being hungry?

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 4:16:03 PM)

Greedy, you don't know how lucky you are that the girls don't want wet stuff....I'd love to get my guys off it.....but they are too used to it...if I refuse to feed any to them, it becomes a battle of wills between me and KB.  And he's an extremely persistent little shit....head butts, feet in the ear, stepping on me.....I need my sleep, so it's easier for me to give in.  And their tastes change....I have to swap out brands every 6 weeks or so......it's such a pain in the ass!  And I've found that putting any food in the fridge is a no-go too....they don't like cold food....and I'm trained so good, that I do exactly what they want!  Sheesh!

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 4:48:51 PM)

Soul.. I *need* Gracious to eat the wet stuff.  She is dehydrated, and has lost too much weight.  I can feel her spine.

DesFIP -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 4:50:25 PM)

Could you mince up some chicken and poach it in chicken broth so it's less salty and maybe it will appeal more?

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 4:53:02 PM)

tried the diluted stuff.   Next step..Gerber baby food.  Lamb and rice.

I think she's giving up.

*cries*

zephyrkajira -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 4:53:26 PM)

I just had a thought Greedy.  There are special syringes you can get which will allow you to get food down Gracious' throat. A little extreme but if it works.....

GreedyTop -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 5:44:10 PM)

tried that for meds before, Zeph..........  for a small critter, dat bitch can cause loads o' hurt!! LOL

zephyrkajira -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 5:46:02 PM)

I hear ya Greedy. Try wrapping her in a towel so that her legs are pinned to her body......[;)]

DesFIP -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 5:47:29 PM)

Ah yes, pilling a cat.

But here's hoping that this is just a short term virus and she'll start feeling better shortly/

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 8:24:02 PM)

Oh Greedy, I hope she recovers.......I know what you're going thru......good luck, I hope the baby food works.  {{{{hugs}}}} to you and your furbabies.

pahunkboy -> RE: What is your cat doing? (10/3/2009 8:25:43 PM)

She is lounging on the bed.

My cat is currently trying to torment my ferret. No biggie. The ferret just moves to the center of the cage. The cat's so pissed! LOL
