yep mystic so are you going to do the next one that you were thinking about doing while your on a roll LOL.

Not sure at this point. I found out that there have been some changes in the course/exam and it is harder to get than it used to be, as well as pretty expensive. Will have to think about that.

thats not a fun thing to see. yea think about it and talk to your school about ways to work the funding for it and such.

I'm not affiliated with any school. I pursue these certifications entirely on my own through professional organizations and they don't work with you on the funding at all. I can afford it, just have to determine if giving up two days of consulting fees, plus the cost of the course itself, is really worth it or not. It is possible I will pursue it when my consulting contract is up, if I don't have another contract right away. That way I would not be losing any consulting revenue. It's a shame this course is only offered on work days and they make you attend the class in-person. I was able to study independently for the other one.

Everyone wishes that they would start offering an on-line version of this course, but I read that it is so interactive, they want you to attend in person.

Well, Misty has decided to boycott the bed whenever Angel is in it. She is glad Angel went out for a spell and has reclaimed her rightful space on the bed for a while.

I just caught Angel giving herself a reward. She knocked over a container of treats and managed to get the top off. She hasn't been that good of a kitty today. I saw her swat at Misty today for no good reason.

Mystic, Squeaks helps herself to stuff all the time like that. She can rip a bag of dry cat food open in under 3 minutes, and the treats in about 5...that foil is kind of tricky, doncha know! If I don't hide them in a drawer, and put the dry food in the containers, she has a field day.

I called the vet's to see how Litty Bit was doing, he came thru the surgery ok, and was actually waking up when I called. Apparently, he was quite feisty becaause she said he went down slowly....I told her that he is definitely feisty.....he'll take KB on wiht no problem at all..just jumps on his head! I wish I could've gotten him, but since I was at work, he was better there where someone could keep an eye on him. I just feel so bad cuz he's sleeping all by his lonesome in a strange place, hurting and not knowing where I am. They open at 8am, I'll be there at 8:01 to get him. It was a fairly quick procedure, I left him at 10, and it was about 4:45 when I called. And I paid extra for pain meds when I get him home.....he's been thru enough, and I want him comfortable.

{sigh} I don't think I'll ever get him back in a carrier again, tho....pretty traumatic experience for him at such a young age.

Hon...he's exhausted and worn out. He's sleeping. Don't worry a bit. It's the same thing he'd be doing with you, and he wouldn't know the difference. He'll be happy to see you tomorrow though!

ETA: the pet carrier thing: They don't see it that much or use it that much. (ours use it once in a year for shots) but if you leave it out as a kind of hiding place, they'll use it as such. Put in a blanket or towel that you use and hasn't been washed, and maybe a fuzzy mouse (or whatever they like) or two. Let them get used to hanging out in it. Then, when you need to take them to the vet, put in something they love, like treats or tuna and allow them to get in and settled before you shut the door. I also always have catnip in there. (and there are some sprays for relaxation if necessary...feliway)

I actually have the big hard-sided carrier out in the bedroom w/a towel in it. It's pretty much ignored. I used one of the soft sided luggage type carriers for Litty Bit. I fugred he wasn't old enough yet to figure out how the zippers on it worked....took 2 of my 4 about an hour to figure out how to get them open.....popped right out of the damn things going down the highway when we moved from AZ to FL. Sneaky little monsters!

Yeah, I know he's probably still recovering from the surgery, but it's just the thought that he's there all by himself if he wakes up just makes me sad.....ever since I brought him in, he's curled up on my shoulder or right next to my head to sleep at night, and I miss his furry little body! I'm probably usffering from seperation anxiety more than he is!

mystic doesnt even use a cat carrier she most of the time< and midnight will be done the same, is just carried by scruff of neck and stuck in the car then she climbs up on something to look out the window and curls up and lays down since we dont have a carrier. IF we need a carrier for her at times we use to use a 30 pack beer box though she never likes the fucker and gets out some how.

Of course, this was the first name I thought of!

Great minds.......

He's home now, with his little satellite dish. Had I known the others would react like they did, I woulda had my camera out! He came out of the carrier and all of a sudden, he's surrounded! The boys were looking at him like "WTF???? That's not what he looked like when he left!!!!" The looks on their faces were priceless! Boo is following him around like he's some new stranger in the house.

I'm trying hard not to laugh at him, tho.....he's trying to get around with that collar on, and it's too big for him....I've trimmed it down on the bottom edge so he can at least walk without doing a faceplant...the edge kept getting caught on the carpet and "smoooosh". And he's eating.....I hid the medicine in the food, but it must be bitter, cuz as soon as he got a mouthful, he backed right off. He has to wear the collar for a few days, and he goes back to the vet on Wednesday. He made quite the impression there.....the girl that was there today thought he is adorable. But he doesn't hate me......he's sitting in my lap right now just a purrrrrrin' away. {sigh} It's good to have him back home!

I drove from AZ to FL in a Budget rental truck w/my 4. It took Squeaks, and then Smooch, less than an hour to figure out how the zippers worked in the carrier......I ended up taking all 4 out of them, and they simply found places in the truck to sleep. Under the passenger seat was popular, so it was a mad dash to see who got there first!

Squeaks and Smooch would climb up on my lap and look out the window, Boo decided he liked the dashboard...which was cool til I hit Atlanta at rush hour and he decided to walk across it......not! But I was a traffic hazard any where I went...people would pass me, see the assorted kittehs, and slow back down to make sure they saw what they saw! Like they'd never seen a cat in the driver;s seat!
