We don't use safewords, I believe in the idea I should know my beloved slave and his reactions, I should know if it is going too far, by his reactions, breathing, sounds. But then again we have been together for years and years. If he had a leg cramp or such I would expect him to say leg cramp, not remember a code word. I find the concept of remembering a code word when in danger, or nonconcensensual pain to be rather silly. if a person is having issues breathing and in a panic, they should not have to bother searching their memory for "elm tree" or what ever safe word has been given. I did once give him a "safe phrase" but it was more of a semi inside joke. He is a former Marine, and I am retired Navy, so there has always been playful bantering about our service of choice, so at one play party event I did give him the "safe phrase" - The Navy is God, and the Marine Corps suck- *EG* I did make him say it, it was all in fun though, he was never in danger, or crisis.
