I am at size 22 or 24, depending on the pants maker. One set of pants is 22 and loose on me while a pair of blue jeans is size 22 and I have to do the bed trick to get them on. I got the jeans back into the back of the closet and currenting on a no-eating diet (bad tooth so no eating).

For all you big losers out there:

I've been using this Jillian Michaels 30 day shred DVD, and it really, really helps.

20 minutes a day, and the Ripper has definitely noticed a difference in my weight and tone.

Ok, so I was a little worried -- returning to Houston from NC brought a return of my distal swelling, muscle spasms, cardiomyopathy-related symptoms, etc., and I was worried that, when I got on the scale for this morning's weigh-in with my trainer, I'd find that I had backtracked and would have to scramble to make my end-of-the-year goal of being under 300 lbs... however, when I got on the scale, surprise of surprises, I've actually dropped weight, down to 304 lbs, which is a nice, even 2lb loss for last week, right on target.

Honey, not many of us LIKE veggies and exercising. I know I don't... and I -do- like donuts, and fried dough, and capellini with alfredo sauce...and even a heart attack 2 years ago, brought on by the daily high-dose steroids and chemo I'm on didn't change that for a good long while... but starting about a year ago, I started really resenting and hating the fact that I felt like crap all the time, so for me, it was a no-brainer. I could keep eating the way I love, and avoid the painful sessions with my physical therapist and my trainer, and I could slowly continue to decay... or I could get off my ass, determine that prednisone and McDonalds were not going to set my future capabilities, and do the work to get myself to where I need to be.

Yeah, it was sucky for the first couple of months, and I -still- have to make myself get up in the AM to do that morning workout before the day-job some days, but now, I feel good most of the time, and even when I feel BAD, it isn't quite so overwhelming and doesn't completely defeat me. To me, that's worth it -- so I guess the trick, if there is one, is figuring out what would make it 'worth it' for you to get healthy and stay healthy.
