How do you get a Dom?

You'll know when he "gets" you. [;)]

I just love it when someone really 'gets' me!

goalie1801 -> RE: How to get a Dom? (2/11/2010 5:36:24 AM)

I have posted in my journal a website that I am going to use to help me through things. Also have posted that I am not really looking as I have to work on myself. Yes I was listening but I had to figure out for me what I needed/wanted to work to make myself happy. I have some good things in mind, they might be little and stupid to most people, but they are baby steps in the right direction for me. So follow me along and give me advice on things to reach my goal. Thanks to all

DarkSteven -> RE: How to get a Dom? (2/11/2010 7:05:08 AM)

Good luck as you progress.

i peeked at your journal entry.  You've written up an excellent list of things to do; they aren't little or stupid.  They're a good list of goals.  Keep going and enjoy yourself as you do!  i've often thought there isn't such a thing as babysteps in this kind of effort, just steps.  Keep up the good work.

I am down to earth and easy going with things. I am not high maintaince and dont like a lot of material things. I have heart for volunteering work and am also a little tomboy at heart. I have a great smile and smile through just about anything. If I am not smiling then you know that there is something wrong.

This is a good paragraph--it tells a lot about you. Add it to your profile.

A Dome?

Hmmm. . .  If you go buy an umbrella you will have a dome!

Helpful Aylee [:)]

okay so I have a profile on fetlife and this is what it says on there..."I am new and feeling very lost right now. I am a sub at heart but have been hurt by so called doms. I want to learn more about being a sub and how to get a good a Dom that will respect me and not treat me like a piece of crap."

That is extremely negative... why not leave it blank?

That is a profile that says "kick me"

It's also extremely honest. I've often written that style of profile, if not those exact sentiments. I find that sort of straightfowardness often attracts other honest people, and that is something I value quite highly.

Goalie, for what it's worth, I personally do not think there's anything at all wrong with the fetlife profile. I think that the right person, if he reads it, will understand it. Later, if you feel like it, you could add some more postive stuff, like you have on the collarme profile, but it's not necessary.

Goalie,
I've been an amazing amount of support, thoughts and suggestions posted by other people on this thread. There is nothing I can add that has not already been expressed. I wish you well and good luck.

CelticNightmare -> RE: How to get a Dom? (2/15/2010 7:56:15 PM)

OP............

Every person wants something different. Not everyone is going to get what they want. To "get" one must have things of value to "give." What are your talents and gifts?

Make it clear.

dreamerdreaming -> RE: How to get a Dom? (2/15/2010 8:07:09 PM)

Be happy single. TRULY happy. Then someone is sure to come along and mess that up for you. [:D]

Confidence, happiness, and a positive outlook are very attractive traits! Be very picky so that a worthy dom gets you. When you're truly happy single, you won't settle for just any asshole messing it up for you. You'll be able to take your time, and wait until you find someone compatible with you. Be too busy living a happy, productive life to worry about partnering up. That's when it'll happen. This great guy will come along and want what you've got. And he'll have been happy too, up until that point. And then you can mess up his fine life.

Luckbunny -> RE: How to get a Dom? (2/16/2010 1:39:10 PM)

I was going to write something scathing, but if you're actually taking some advice it's no longer needed. Instead I'll say good luck on your journey and I do honestly hope you get the help you need in whatever form you're willing to take it.

FetishRose -> RE: How to get a Dom? (2/16/2010 5:04:15 PM)

A dom is a man like any other, when it comes to "getting" one. And, in my opinion, "getting one" is kinda lame. You shouldn't just settle for any random person who comes along; but unfortunately, you have come across through much of this section as someone who is really just looking for anyone. This is where it can be dangerous, because you are opening yourself up to people that may hurt you. First, learn to have some love and respect for yourself. Guys dig that. When you are comfortable with yourself, and learn that you don't need a dom to make you happy...guess what? You'll be more attractive to a potential dominant. The kind that will want to snuggle you at night, and be your rock. That's worth waiting for, and being picky about.

Best of luck to you. It seems like you have figured out what you need to do, and I'm sure you'll accomplish it.

I just want someone to cuddle up at night with. To hold me when things go rough.etc.... what is wrong with me that no one wants me but to get some ass!!!!

perhaps put out some ass and the love will follow....

that and get a nice assault rifle & pose with it!

Doms like that shit[;)] men in general...hell! i like women posing with guns![:)]

if you are into bdsm and can't imagine a relationship without it, ya gotta put your needs in order...

you could get the love stuff that follows or you could not but at least you got some good hot s&m!!

Can't say you'd hit any of your needs just going vanilla.

There ya go....my 2 cents

How do you get a Dom?

Just be yourself, know what you want and need. Never do anything that goes against your core beliefs. find a Dom who you can relate to on all levels, not just Dom/sub

dragon200070 -> RE: How to get a Dom? (4/27/2010 3:14:29 PM)

Hi,
To get a Dom you must put yourself out there. Advertise whereever you can, post to BDSM groups, join in chats wherever you can.

Do not stop, do not slow down.

Jeff
