Take a long stick, a piece of string approximately 5ft long, a curved hook (a bent nail will do), and a live worm. Tie one end of the string to one end of the stick, tie the hook to the other end of the stick and stick the worm on the hook. Take the stick by the opposite end and find a comfortable place to sit where you can dangle the hook in the water. Wait. Eventually you will catch... Oh wait, that's fishing...

I have had guys take advantage of me and abuse me. I want someone that is honest, loyal and trusting then add in the dark side of things. I am very serious about this and really want someone to cuddle with and the like.

I would suspect that each of those people you mentioned having abused you seemed great, until they weren't anymore. It's really no different than dating 'nila in that way. In general I think knowing what you want and need is good place to start, then not settling for less and making allowances. It may work in the short term, but ultimately you'll be dissatisfied and it won't work out. It's frustrating, I found a lot who were attractive but didn't meet my emotional and intellectual needs, and then a lot who met those needs, and weren't attractive. Took time and patience, but worked out.

My point is not what you say you want (which I actually think is pretty vague, you describe an overarching ideology of a relationship, and yourself, and not even a lot about the latter). My point is that you need to stay true to what you want and need, and take the time to get to know someone before investing in a relationship. Figure out your must haves vs preferences and vet people without rose tinted glasses. I say that not as condemnation of you, but from my own experiences, getting excited at the prospect of knowing someone new overrode some of my better judgment, and warning signs that things were not as compatible as they should be were ignored.

I never went to it, so I do not know if it still exists, but it seemed to be something that you may be able to find what you are looking for. You mentioned in your profile that you felt God created women to be submissive to men and that you wanted an old fashioned sort of relationship with someone who has Christian values (or the values that some christians claim to have but don't... I do not think that because someone says they have values that they necessarily do). I just thought you might find something more to your liking on that sort of site
