I apologize, but I suppose I didn't define my position clearly enough.

Furthermore, I've been listening to all of them for a little over 30 years. Can't say I ever really noticed that one was nicer than another. I listen for the bottom line. When that is lies, theft and murder... somehow the exact words or tone of voice doesn't matter much to me.

Limbaugh is not condensending at all. He never dumb downs his message nor does he talk down to his audience.

Limbaugh does use satire and mockery, even sarcasim but if one listens, it is always clear that's what he is doing. In fact, he treats his audience as peers and assumes their intelligence is the equal of his.

But condesening he is not.

Nope. Nothing at all condescending about describing anybody who disagrees with him as doing so because they're a sheep too stupid to be capable of thinking for themself...

If we are going to discuss political figures being condescending, perhaps some of the redneck and religious taunts of the last election cycle would be better examples?

At the time very condescending...but now just political BS.  Times change and one must look at the time when things are said

What you call double standards would be true if the same discussion was held 4 years ago, but it was not

You have just proven the threads point.

There is a big difference between satirical and condenscending. Condenscending would be NOT using the word "sheeple" because the orator believes that his or her audience is too unintelligent to understand its meaning or context.
