It is only an 'accident' when someone falls into a vat of nice warm sperm-goo. Otherwise, it is an 'intentional' act. Accident LMAO If you can't deal with an STD/Pregnancy, use realllly good protection or don't fuck at all.

And believe it or not...still, at times life can interfere big time in unexpected ways once you are pregnant which can change the whole situation and lead to a termination despite that the pregnancy was welcomed.

Your maths "cant deal with pregnancy" = "don't fuck at all" as it equals being irresponsible/foolish or whatever you name it stinks

you can compare ALL day with different analogies (no pun intended) but you cannot compare one incident/action with another. That is like comparing childbirth of a human vs a chicken laying an egg. Kinda similar but, not exactly what one would call an accurate description LOL

Although this is a lovely metaphor (Fellini would have loved it), I think it shows that you're not thinking very logically at all. You're blinded by your emotions, and my natural curiousity pushes me to ask you what it is that made you so rabid. I shan't presume anything, but it's obvious that your willingness to oppress other women's rights because of your feelings about sexual activity in general comes from a place... that few of us would like to visit without some kind of psychiatric qualification...

as in? losing your job? No occupation or any of which goes on (the tangible) is a guarentee. Therefore you choice to abort because of financial reasons is your choice. But, don't go through life expecting that tomorrow the economy will always be 'prosperous and appropriate' for your life and that IT has to revolve around you.

Elisa, I was scared of my pregnancy.  All the case studies Dad and Mom worked on in their schoolwork was terrifying to me.

On Lizard's due date, I beg the GYN to induce labor.  I checked in the hospital on his orders the next day at 7am.  At 9, the staff broke my water and pitted me.  I was given some Demerol by IV so the pain would not hurt me.

Suddenly, I was in the second stage of labor.  i was completely enfaced and I was 10 centimeters.  I was breathing heavily and wondering if I could get an epidermal.  I was too far into the second stage.  The nurses were trying to find a doctor to deliver me.  I held off pushing until someone could get there.  Suddenly my GYN was there and I started pushing.  Between pushes, I took a deep breath.  Doc said to push again and I told him that I was scared of bruising her face.  I pushed one final time and they whisked Lizard away to clean her up.  I asked what her APGAR was.  She was an 8.  I did not care about her fingers and toes.  I did tear some and Doc was able to repair the tear with sutures.  I passed the afterbirth with no problems.

I did have to stay in the hospital for an extra day because my blood pressure was high.  Also, if you have not have a bowel movement, the hospital will keep you.  Between you and me, I felt like I was having a very large BM when I was pushing Lizard out...LOL!

Throughout my pregnancy, I took several chances to rest and get off of my feet.  One time when I got home, I grabbed an iced tea and a book to read.  I propped my feet on the arm of the sofa and used my belly as a bookrest.  Suddenly, the book was flying through the air...I swear to the gods that I was carrying Pele's (soccer player) love child...she kicked that hard!

Your problem is you think sex itself is evil and human beings shouldn't be doing it unless they are in the pursuit of manufacturing babies right? I don’t know why you brought up STD’s, I presume it was to state it as some kind of punishment by design of so called irresponsible sex.

Who said anything about DUI's?, say you are in a parking lot and someone pulls out from a space. Who is at fault?

Perhaps the person going through the car park was travelling too fast, perhaps the person pulling out from the space was not paying attention, perhaps they were both responsible, perhaps it was just one of those events where random variables conspire against you. The same with unwanted pregnancies, there are no black and white issues in the real world, they only exist in your head.

lol, he is the one who compared cars to sexual activity, not me. I am being quite logical.

What you fail to understand is that I don't believe in abortion PERSONALLY, I have never claimed here or elsewhere that it should NOT be an option (legally) or financially (by the state). I am viewing it from the social aspect. I would not remove the value of a woman's right, but I do see that if preventive measures were taken that the statistics of the 'unwanted' or 'inconvenient' pregnancies would narrow down to a very slim number.

then perhaps you are slow. Sex is wonderbar, with the right person and the right responsibility (for the consequences) in mind.

You forgot to add how hilarious and fun it is to abort a pregnancy and how so many of us deliberately indulge in risky behaviour just for the joy of going through it again. The economy? It's hilarious, but nothing when it comes to spreading your legs and getting a vacuum up your snatch to suck out the fruits of your labour. You should try it sometime, it's AWESOME.

It shouldn't be 'fun'. If it is, you have deeper issues. What kinda weirdo puts a vacuum up their twatty?

I don't know the stats for 'repeat' abortions. If there is, obviously there is quite a high risk going on there.

Who said it was about losing a job?

You really enjoy making your assumptions don't you...

Quite frankly I am perfectly fine with the decision I made and have my reasons and my justifications for it, however I don't expect someone like you to get that fact, which is not only to me obvious at the moment.

Life can be complex at times but once again...I don't expect you to be able to understand such a possibility

But hey...who knows...maybe one day even you will come into very complex times indeed and gain a taste of having to do decisions you don't like to do but still see it as the best option despite not like the outcome (in whatever aspect, does not have to be about terminations) some people need to experience it to get it.

I can only agree to kittinSol's impression

Yes, like pulling the plug on someone. It is possible that might come up. But, it is nature taking it's course, so the decision would be fine with me.

Tubal litigation isn't 100%. I know of a case a few months ago where the woman still got pregnant after tubal litigation. Since she took drastic measures to prevent pregnancy, she should be granted a government funded abortion, right? Medicine failed her, right?

Oh wait, she was in Canada so she was covered...

- LA

Nothing other than abstinence is 100% effective so for those who choose not to have a failsafe birth control method it's probably one of the most effective ones there, especially once the person has made the decision that they never want to have a/another child.

Well that is an unrealistic expectation as we are sexual creatures
.

I have no issue with government funded abortions in any case so the rest of your comment is completely irrelevant.

I guess I missed the part in the last 32 pages or so where your point of view changed. Did you go on about how abortions were elective surgery and shouldn't be covered?

One was enough for me, personally, but I can't guarantee you that it won't happen again. My prediction goggles are out of order. Should I abort another sprog, I'll make sure to dedicate it to you.

nope.

I did mention that even if it costs a nickel (to them or the system) I don't agree with it. Didn't mention much about economics, race, age,...a lil about income (after aylee brought that up).

It’s the logical conclusion of your position not mine.

You can't have it both ways you either accept that sex is solely to manufacture babies or you accept people can do it for whatever reason they like. Your position seems to be that sex should only be conducted if you have created a gantt chart and planned your resources for a new life.

Do you ask yourself if you can raise the finances for a potential new baby every time you have sex? “Honey I’ve spoken to the bank, we can have sex today; the finances are in place.”

First of all, if you think you can EVER afford a baby, you can't expect that. People can have sex to make babies intentionally or they can have sex and have a 'reasonable expectation' that 'oh oh, this could be IT' Sex and life should be done with safety, unless you just don't care about either.
