They should have been prosecuted, plain and simple..

So where did you get your law degree from to know what went into the decision not to? Was evidence collected properly, do the witnesses have credibility, in short can they make a case.... you are not a lawyer intimate with this case, stop playing one online

You dont need a law degree. They were convicted, all that was to be decided was the punishment. Then DOJ pulled the rug out from under the victorious prosecution.

Thank you for that plain, simple, and irrefutable FACT. What our milato racist POTUS's black racist AG's racist DOJ effectively did was pardon two black racist thugs who were fairly and justly convicted FELONS.

Of course, plain, simple, and irrefuteable FACTS don't matter to liberturds.

Actually those aren't the facts.

There never was a criminal prosecution so even under the Bush Administration these men were never going to be convicted felons as a result of the case.

Get this clear even the Bushies didn't try and file criminal charges, there was no evidence of a crime.

We all know what woul happen if a white supremacist group was on tape intimidating minority voters. All hell would break loose.

I was thinking about that too. What would the DOJ do if say the KKK showed up at polling places wielding clubs and wearing bedsheets? Nothing?
Yet, they sue the state of Arizona for a law that was put in place because the federal govt. was not and is not doing their job???
It begs the question, "who is the Dept of Justice working for?" Certainly not "The People."
It seems they're motivated by "politics" and not "Justice."
That bet on Holder is looking better and better.
Here's an idea, how's about the DOJ enforce *ALL* the laws?

You don't know what you're talking about Ken, or you're lying.

There is videotape evidence all over the web, and from my OP:

quote:

The Bush Justice Department brought the first case against three members of the group, accusing them in a civil complaint of violating the Voter Rights Act. The Obama administration initially pursued the case, winning a default judgment in federal court in April 2009 when the Black Panther members did not appear in court. But then the administration moved to dismiss the charges the following month after getting one of the New Black Panther members to agree to not carry a "deadly weapon" near a polling place until 2012.

He is making the distinction between criminal and civil charges, however, I believe that the initial charges filed by Bush DOJ WERE in fact criminal charges, later dropped to civil.

Right, I missed that. Okay, I guess I owe Ken an apology then.

No, as usual you don't know what you are talking about.

The case in question was a civil lawsuit, not a criminal proceeding.

The reason for that was there was no evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

And apparently the case was too weak to even be sustained as voter intimidation.

Yet you want to play connect-the-dots and claim the case wasn't prosecuted because Obama and Holder are black and the defendants were the Black Panthers.

I'm sure glad you are so race-neutral Sanity.

mnottertail -> RE: Racial Bias At The Justice Department (7/9/2010 2:43:30 PM)

See Tom, thats the thing.  You kinda get it right.........but then you want to stick in all these fucked up modifiers in the sentence.......keep it simple.

Had you simply said 'Democrats are running this country.'  Everybody woulda hadda say, by god, that ol' Sanity is right, can't argue with that shit whatsoever.

but no, you gotta put in all that shit like, screaming, kowtowing, racist.......when you construct sentences, and it plainly fucks you up.

Leave some of the adverbs out, you'll be ok; I think. You aren't at all facile with them.

Ron

So for appearance`s sake, the DOJ must do something it otherwise wouldn`t do?

That, would most definitely be acting with a racial bias.

thornhappy -> RE: Racial Bias At The Justice Department (7/9/2010 10:07:58 PM)

Yep, that's what we got in a concepts of modern physics class.  Even had a homework problem or two dealing with it.

The more precisely the position is determined, the less precisely the momentum is known in this instant, and vice versa.
--Heisenberg, uncertainty paper, 1927

This is a succinct statement of the "uncertainty relation" between the position and the momentum (mass times velocity) of a subatomic particle, such as an electron. This relation has profound implications for such fundamental notions as causality and the determination of the future behavior of an atomic particle.

That is Heisnberg, not another source commenting on it.

I'll get back you to in the other.

Black GOP candidate slams Obama for exploiting race

One of the GOP’s handful of black candidates for Congress condemned President Barack Obama for exploiting race for political gain.

Allen West, the Republican challenging Rep. Ron Klein (D) in Florida’s 22nd congressional district, sharply criticized the Obama administration for having allegedly declined prosecuting the New Black Panther Party on voter tampering charges for political reasons.

“For an Administration that promised a new era in race relations, Obama and the Democrats in Congress have demonstrated that race will continually be exploited for political gain,” West, who is one of two African-American Republicans running for Congress who survived their primaries, said in a statement.

Michelle Malkin has been working diligently for years to expose the violent, racist New Black Panther militia, and currently has a very informative expose on her web page that ends with the phrase,

"Ain’t liberal tolerance grand?"

I know you read any drivel out there but Malkin? Really? Do you read worldnetdaily too?

Malkin's pretty damn good. I can't think of any Liberal women who speak or write as well as our Conservative girls do, and the most any of you Leftists can manage in rebuttal (to almost anything) are these lame personal attacks of yours.

At race baiting and spreading fear and loathing.

Just look at her target audience.[8|]

I find her a little overboard and overreaching in her conclusions, but she does research and write well. But you miss the important thing about "our Conservative girls" compared to the Lefties. They are a lot hotter! Megyn Kelly or Joy Behar.....hmmmmm.

Yeah, I don't know what the nation would have done if she hadn't alerted us all to the danger of paisley wearing coffee pitch women.

I was dancing with a gal in Sun Valley a couple of weeks ago who looked and acted a lot like Michelle Malkin. She was playing in a band at the outdoor concert series they were having.

Talk about hot... [8D]

Did your parents catch you beating off 0? Seems as if you're advertising your repressed sexual urges here...

My advice? Get counseling, and get over it. Practically everyone masturbates, and thats okay.

You won't go blind, I promise.

Well shit, if a black man said that Obama is exploiting the issue for political gain then I guess it must be true and you really are not a racist scumbag.

Just one teeny, tiny little question.

Where is the political gain?

The Justice Department decision created a lot of negative publicity by conservatives claiming the decision was racially motivated.

Of course, as always, based on rumor, innuendo, second and third-hand accounts, and with absolutely no solid evidence to back their claims.
