I don't give "tests" and if I find out that they are? They are gone! I am SO not into that, been there, done that, it was wierd! people who "test" people are sick and need professional help.

What is up with the whole "let's see if you deserve to submit to me" shtick anyway? It's all over the site, and is like straight out of a jerky fantasy novel. Who wants to feel like that? Makes me want to go take a shower...

When I submit, I want to feel like I'm doing so with someone whose energy is supporting and holding me the whole way. Not like I have to prove something to a superior being. Yuck.

What's with the plural of toilet?. In the states, we would go to the "toilet" or restroom or the "shitter", singular.

listen, you furry-assed pedant, there is usually more than one toilet (in separate cubicles) here in the UK - we're a sociable nation, after all!

It's a simple thing to understand - you go to the toilet. It's not a restroom, or a bathroom. I've been to the US many times and never found a hammock or a bathtub in the room when I need a piss.

But I ALWAYS found a toilet!

Actually here in the UK we have our quaint little colloquialisms too. It's called the 'bog' or the 'loo'. Sometimes the 'crapper'. We has style too, yanno!

And this bunny's ass is a size 10 dreeeeeeeeaaaaaaammmmm....and just lurvs to be spanked.....but not by you, fuzzbutt!

Although I did get a chuckle from some of the replies, I give this thread only a three out of five flogger rating.... it seems as though we as a group are getting rather predictable in our replies, and while we are still somewhat amusing, we are beginning to get somewhat formulaic

do you think I should have mocked Jeffffff for his lack of fur, maybe?

Any suggestions on humiliating an anteater would be very welcome

The anteater jokes are still funny, we have gotten a lot of mileage out of them, but I worry that one day we will see an anteater joke and say "Hmmmm, that just doesn't have the same punch it used to"

Oh come now... it's easy for everyone to get all up in arms about the word "testing" but as was noted in the OP, we ALL in some way or another evaluate our partners for suitability. You can call that a test if you want. When I met Carol, I evaluated her based on her emotional availability and honesty among other things. She "passed the test". Is that so evil?

I kind of know it... but in the end, doesn't it all work out the same way? Carol and I "tested" each other. The fact that it was done subtly doesn't change that, it only means that the things we were interested in couldn't be demonstrated with a simple yes/no question or demonstration of an action. The fact that there were a wide variety of factors involved beyond simply "can you deep throat me?" only speaks to our own personal sense of what's important. (and on an unrelated note, Carol's test of me makes one of the funniest stories of our marriage *chuckles*)

More on topic though, I definitely "test" subs I meet nowadays -- well, subs I might want to dom anyway. I've learned a lot about what I like and don't from Carol and when I met a sub online who was confused about whether she was submissive or not I absolutely tested her. Again, it was done subtly but it was done all the same before she got my [online] collar.

I suppose though, to be fair, I'm always open to alternatives too. There's at least one submissive here who I like a great deal who definitely doesn't fit Carol's mold. She's more the "dominant by day, sub by night" sort of person which I generally eschew -- which again speaks to me caring about a wide variety of factors being simply the "submission" angle.
