Gentlemen-
Seeing frequent posts from Dommes in this category has me wondering...how do you feel about female dominants inserting their opinions in your Ask A Master forum?

Best,
MDA

Have you also noticed that responses also come from switches, subs and slaves? The categories are not necessarily existing to indicate who is expected to answer, but more as a way of determining where to place a question.

Anyone can post a question or response regardless of what side of the kneel they might fall on. Take note as well that while a select few will use honorifics in the forums, most don't, nor is the need to felt.

Master is not a gendered term.  I tend to think of it as a path of mastery that may be as much spiritual and personal as kinky, and that is centered as much on self-discipline as on disciplining others.   Mastering a skill or a craft, whether kinky or not, is a gender neutral accomplishment.

The "Mistress" role is based on a different paradigm, and does tend to be gender-linked, though I do know some genetic males who are on this specific path and identify strongly with it.

Gender isn't always a binary.  If the forums were intended to be "Ask a male dominant" and "Ask a female dominant", they'd have been so named.   The references are to different philosophies which aren't necessarily tied to either sex or gender.

As long as they genuflect to the Golden Phallus when entering the temple, we will savor the meats of our kill, enjoy our beer and tolerate their silly talk.

Of every good question asked, think of how tedious it would be if it had to be worded slightly differently to be posted in different areas, in the sub/slave area, Mistress, Master, and Switch zones.  Think of how crazy it would get for those of us wanting to hear everyone's answer...having to race around to all those different but same threads.

Funny thing is, so many post in the Master or Mistress area that few people post in the Switch area...topics there tend to be Switch related issues only.

For myself I think the real question does not necessarily equate to how I feel as much as it is a question of do I feel threatened when a Dominant female answers in a forum that is geared toward “Ask a Master.” For myself I am not threatened whatsoever.

Further I would hope that a Dominant female is equally as confident when she chooses to post in this forum or any forum. I know I do not relinquish my confidence regardless where I post or to whom I speak. That which is natural does not retract in any instance.

LadyPact -> RE: Dommes Posting in "Ask A Master" (7/8/2010 11:53:39 PM)

Very few threads are actually gender specific.  Having a penis has absolutely nothing to do with whether someone is a Master or not.

TheRaptorJesus -> RE: Dommes Posting in "Ask A Master" (7/8/2010 11:59:42 PM)

I think those tramps need to take themselves back to their sheltered little world of  the "Ask a Mistress" forums.

The MEN can handle this!

You're a raptor.  I'm not sure that exactly qualifies.

In my non-gentlemanly opinion, you're taking the subforum titles too literally. To me, "Ask A Master" is just a catchy way to say "This is the forum to discuss things related to maledom relationship."

People who are solely interested in the opinions of a Master (as opposed to a Mistress, a Dominant, a Top, a Switch, Sub, or Slave) don't have to read all the posts, but a lot of times conversations build on those posts, so obviously someone finds them worthwhile.

If the Point follows the Asked Question I don't give a shit who answers. I post on All the forums.. If I have something to say I say it.

There was a time it annoyed me but someone made a good point.

"Are their opinions less valid, Why cut your information pool in half?"

Nahhhhhhh, I have no judgment or bias toward it, I'm just curious what the born-with-a-penis dominant gender thinks about this.

Ummmm..... So are you implying that you HAVE to have a penis to be a Dominant?

I ask because I know MANY Domme, without strapon's or feeldo's.

Just curious.

Nope. As a female dominant without a penis (unless I strap on some syntho-meat), I'm not even posting an opinion about it.  I'm just asking a question directed at the dominant males of our community...."how do you feel about female dominants posting in the Ask A Master forum."  There is no right or wrong answer; we're holding it to feelings here. And thank you to the male doms who answered the question.

Why would you assume that a Master couldn't be female or a switch for that matter?

We're not big on inflating egos with superficial titles here. We are big on discussion, intelligence and acceptance.

Besides the rules are made by the site, not posters. Anyone can post anywhere.
