Haha! I think my stance has changed since the last one.

Before I was in the 'meh, whatever' camp, and now I'm in the 'not my personal bag but they work pretty hard and some of them are kind of cool' camp.

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Money Dommes (8/14/2010 7:00:54 PM)

I wish that I had the chops to be one!! Send me your monies!!
See? Nothing. Hmph. [8D]

juliaoceania -> RE: Money Dommes (8/14/2010 7:05:24 PM)

I think I could get money if I played at being a domme...lol... perhaps a career move through grad school? ( I am absolutely kidding)

My cookies... are not free!

LadyPact -> RE: Money Dommes (8/14/2010 7:07:56 PM)

Just out of curiosity, do any of the folks who write these threads realize that it's an immediate turn off when we lifestyle Dommes see them?

Kind of like the thin gals who can't stand to hear people moan about fat chicks.  It shows a side that isn't attractive.  You know how just about every female has at least one friend that isn't a size six?  Often, it's seen as someone griping about that friend of ours.

A good majority of the lifestyle Dommes have at least one person that they know or a friend who is a pro.  See how that works?

I am a wuss when it comes to inflicting pain or humiliation. I am pretty adept at taking it though[;)]

What we resist persists...or something like that

I understand what you are saying, but it is like getting mad at the rain. Some men do not understand a very basic rule, for most of them sex/fetishes/kink costs them. It may not cost them money, but it is going to cost something somewhere down the line...

Or the old adage "there is no free lunch" applies. If you want something of value you have to pony up and give your time, money, or skill to get it

Jeffff -> RE: Money Dommes (8/14/2010 7:15:09 PM)

I was just hoping to avoid 30 pages on why pro's suck.....or why they don't

they suck because they suck and when they don't suck they are doing other things, like manicures, or shopping for floggers.... etc

I could be wrong, but I don't think the original poster was complaining about pro Dommes so much as 20 year old girls who just want your money without giving anything in return, I personally find it hard to believe that anyone under 25 can be a "pro" Domme.

MrBukani -> RE: Money Dommes (8/16/2010 3:53:45 PM)

Personally, I just don't give a fuck.
I find the usage of the word tribute childish.
What I would like, if the moneyhungrymaterialistic ho's(jmho) would not be mixed in with the rest.
They should be on a prodom(me) section.
Would make surfing the site a lot easier.
Anytime someone says they want to be paid just for their presence they remind me of lawyers.[:D]
I hate fuckin disclaimers but again i will to bar confusion. I am dutch and pro pro's. Its the oldest profession...

The people who *create profiles of 20 year old girls looking to take money* could be 50 year old men or your next door neighbor.  It could be a handful of people creating 20+ fake profiles a day with stolen pictures from all over the Web, and it could be a man behind every one of them. Don't assume that fake profiles/money profiles are women scamming men. It could be men scamming men.

The bottom line is that they exist because men pay for it.  Obviously it's working on some level. The best way to police it is to not give them money.

lobodomslavery -> RE: Money Dommes (8/17/2010 12:40:15 AM)

You know the women who do this to men are exploitresses.  Thats what i like to call them financial exploitresses because thats what they do they prey on guys who have low self esteeem who feel they are dirt and will thus do anything to please "perfection" which ive seen written on various sites. But you know guys are responsible too. The fact of the matter is if guys didnt pay, money dommes wouldnt exist. There is a market for them

You hit the nail on the head Akasha. More often than not it's likely the the "Financial Dommes" aren't even women. Even if they are they may not be the ones featured in the photos. However, they're like any other parasite: They wouldn't be there if they weren't finding a food source. There must be enough fools out there to fall for the scams or there wouldn't be so many listings. On a somewhat related issue, many of these "Financial Dommes" and even some legitimate Domme profiles use defamatory language in describing their would-be victims/subs. What legitimate self-respecting Pro or Lifestyle Domme would advertise for "losers", "scum" etc.? Granted, some of it is deliberately intended to appeal to would-be subs who have low self-esteem and/or have a fetish for defamation. However, don't they realize that in effect they are saying "I'm not a skillful enough Domme to get top-notch subs and all I can get is the bottom-of-the barrel."
