McCarthy died at age 48 before he could try to be elected for a third term of complications of alcoholism.

Learn some real history, not what 6th graders get to see. I dont expect you to actually have the capability of making it through a book, but google the Venona cables.

Sorrry for my last post, in which I replied to an earlier point you made, before I saw this.

I`m not suggesting it doesnt happen anywhere else. Sadly there have been major incidents of the same type even here in the UK. My point is that with guns being harder to obtain they seem to happen way to frequently in the US.

USA

UK

UK is ahead of the USA in % in assault victims, rape victims, total crime victims and a lower overall perception of safety. The UK leads the pack in kidnappings (not even listed in the USA data) and is second behind the US in car thefts.

You are correct about the gun statistics you cite. It can be argued that the other categories where the UK fares poorly are related to its having banned handguns and it can also be argued that the USA is actually safer overall because it has not banned handguns.

Without getting into the overall crime statistics, hard to do since crimes are often recorded differently from Country to Country (Kidnapping) , I have just the one question for you.

How is ending up dead safer than anything, because to me it kind of trumps having your car stolen or being badly beaten.

You post photos of a car, presumably you feel someone should want to steal.

I reply with a very witty reply that I would not want to steal it (would not go to the effort and possible danger) but if someone wanted to GIVE it to me, I would take it. For FREE. (even though we all know, it would not be......taxes etc...) Then, because I would not wish to KEEP it, I would sell it to whomever offered me the most money for it. Effectively getting rid of it and getting something of actual value........MONEY. Where as I could, IF I WANTED to, purchase an automobile that I felt was sufficiently worth having.

Funny hopw you act like the Venona cables support your claim. McCarthy named 159 people onvarious lists of "communists" he claimed to have. Only 9 were and that is based on the Venona cables and other documents now available.

IOW McCarthy ruined innocent people to advance his own career.
