lol... Now you did it I'm going to preach. We need to get our elected representatives to be beholding to the voters rather than special interests through lobbying and corporate donations. There is only one way... make lobbying illegal with a strong penalty and limit political donations to individuals with a small limit. I know people are tired of hearing me say this but it is the ONLY thing that will work. We are third now...behind special interests and then party donations and affiliations... then if nothing interferers with the first two or it is election time they may pay us lip service. Butch

I am prepared to start getting involved in protesting in the near future, and I suspect that many protests will be on-going. I am not a spring chicken, and cutting medicare and social security will directly affect ME, if I live long enough to collect, and you can bet your last money, many people are not going to accept cuts to medicare and social security without a fight. This is the last straw, the United States spends zillions all over this world, and we can't even control our own damn borders, and now they want to cut/make drastic negative changes to Medicare and Social Security. Rich, you ain't even seen ugly yet. lol this is just a warm-up

Simple solution: Since everyone has to 'take a haircut' to fix the budget, ditch the 'golden parachute' retirement and healthcare bennies for members of Congress, and enroll them in Social Security and Medicare. Medicare is pretty fucking awesome! It lacks dental and a well defined drug plan. They are working on improving the drug plan. I would gladly take Medicare part A & B today, drop my health insurance and have no Medicare Supplement. I would be more than willing to pay all of my deductibles and co-pays straight out of pocket. Medicare pays for the majority of all big ticket items.

They (ABC,CBS,NBC,orMSNBC) are not broadcast from canada, and yes we get them on our tv the same we do with fox. Maher is a comedian, Ive never watched him on the local tv, , and I have never seen Maddows show , Ive never looked for it, so I dont have a clue The law is against broadcasters in canada knowingly telling lies. got it?
