Latest news on proposed Medicare cuts. House passes sweeping GOP cuts, now onto the Senate. House passes sweeping GOP cuts I don't want radical medicare cuts and I don't know why medicaid and medicare issues are almost always linked together. When did being elderly and being poor become the same issue? No premium caps and I hope everyone can work until they are 67 in case they raise the age to receive it. I will be keeping a close eye on this, and I will not allow them to kill granny! [sm=noway.gif] Soon enough if you are not granny {on medicare}, you may soon be in granny's shoes, and if we allow these changes to medicare, we will deserve what happens to us and those we love and care about. [sm=shame.gif]

Umm- it does not make sense. Locally the drs were complaining over a reduced pay rate- it was delayed 6 months a few times.... the rate said not to cover basic overhead.

I hope that doesn't mean less coverage for nursing home care also? tazzy, we both know how hard it is to get any at home care paid for, or home nursing services if you own ANYTHING. I believe you can't have over, what is it $1,000 or so in assets? I know of 2 family members, trying to arrange and pay for in home care for an elderly parent. In both cases, they get no assistance until/or unless "dad" sells the home. damn damn damn shame, one of us needs to start a thread on that I will try to look up how these cuts would effect Medicaid/nursing home care later. thanks tazzy

But there is a catch- the home must be sold 2 or 3 years beforehand. Otherwise it does not count.

But, regardless, you made the statement. So I will adress it. I would imagine that most.... already... pregnant... women ... go to PP for abortions. Else, they would be going to an OBGYN for prenatal care.
