I agree. I understand that, and after knowing someone as a friend then yes, I will happily send a photo. Just, I can't have people look for it.

I work in a job that it could cause me problems if people at work knew that I'm a Dominant. I don't show it off, I don't 'brag,' I certainly don't put it in their faces ... but am I going to hide? No. If my coworkers are on this website, well ... they don't have too much to say about me being on here, do they? They are too ...

This could also cause me significant problems with my family ... I'm still not going to hide.

Are you hurting your chances by not being willing to share pics? Yes. But if you aren't comfortable with it, then you either need to accept that you have just narrowed the field, or learn to get comfortable with it. For us, at least, if someone doesn't trust us with a picture of himself when our pictures are already up, then there is no point in trying to establish a relationship.

With out knowing the full situation I suppose it's very hard to understand. I do agree with what you are saying. If it was a vanilla meeting webpage or something like that, then yes I'd have no problem sharing photos, but it's the assosciation. This is a private side of my life which I like to keep private. Just by being here alone I have shared a intimate secret with potentially thousands of strangers. But there has to be some discrepency. I can't reveal myself here and then let my lifes work go to waste, because then that would undo who I am now. I would no longer be able to the Alpha in my vanilla life which would mean, I would no longer be able to seek the kind of women I seek which is one who enjoys the challenge of cracking a hard nut so to say.

I appreciate women who show photos publically. I think it takes courage but the keyword here is 'publically', theres a public line and a private line. I don't want to intertwine the two. If I meet someone off here, as I said, she is more than welcome into my public life so long as she leaves whats private about us (Kink/Fetish/ BDSM etc), private.

BUT, because I am openly not willing to divulge my physical identity to everyone, I can also appreciate that some members of the opposite sex would feel the same as I do and am happy to accomodate women who have no photo. Especially because, I come from a skin deep back ground where I truly and honestly appreciate a personality over a pretty face anyday.
But where are they?

As people have said, it doesn't need a picture of your face, something that says a bit about you, be it coffee cup, a chair, anything... Leaving it blank just seems a bit bland, nobody wants bland...

Refusing to have/send a picture says 'I do not trust you to know what I look like'. That? Not a good basis for the exploration of a relationship. If you can't show me your face you are not ready to have a relationship with me, and I'm not going to waste my time on people who are not ready.

Another idea would be to wear a mask, a hood or a hat (that has half of your face in shadow) as a picture, people get a feel for you but you're not "out" and you don't have to worry about the boss, colleagues or neighbours seeing you, and if they do, look surprised and ask "You really think that looks like me? What kinda website is it?"

Reading through this, I now believe you are profoundly uncomfortable with your sexual urges. Do you have any experience at all? You sound like a gay man who has only dated women and is looking for a guy for the first time, abd is afraid of being gang raped and left tor dead. Was that a sarcastic response? I really suggest you think about what I said. I've dated models too, if that matters to you. My read is that you're seeing a boogie man who isn't there. Why couldn't you figure out Lady C's suggestion on your own? It wasn't that hard. You have some emotional block in the way of your problem solving skills.
