I would really like an "it depends" option, b/c for me the answer to this question is very situational. If you are known to engage in criminal behavior, highly promiscuous behavior, extreme risk taking behavior (and I would classify prostitution as all three) that does alter my perception of who you are and what you are capable of, although not necessarily in a negative way. That depends on the situation. Unfortunately, most people do make stereotypical judgements of others based on very little input. I have been guilty of that myself on this discussion board. The difference being, I am right about my quick judgements, whereas the rest of you are wrong.

No correlation. How does sex work disqualify one from having integrity? One is supplying a service, the other is purchasing said service. Don't worry about the mote in the hooker's eye, worry about the beam in your ( a generic your ) own.

The topic of a woman marrying for money, whether it is moral, ethical, showing integrity or lack there of..........well that depends upon the individuals and the conversations they had. When I was in my mid twenties and a single mother, a business acquaintance of my stepfather pursued me quite heartily for awhile. He said he did not expect me to love him. He simply wanted to marry me and provide quite well for my children and myself. He constantly did everything possible to prove his ability to do so. Showing off his luxurious home on a beautiful large horse farm. Constantly driving a different car from his collection of many. Sending flowers and expensive gifts to me at work. It was very difficult to convince him that was not my goal. Had that been my goal, given his approach and the conversations that we obviously would have had, I do not see that marrying him for what he was offering would have been wrong. Not within the light that the offer was being presented. Had it been a different situation........me proclaiming love and devotion because he had those things, lying about my intent, that would have been a huge lack of integrity on my part.

A lot of people believe that if you do illegal things, no matter what you are then you have no integrity. Stealing, prostituting, fraud or selling drugs. If its illegal you have no integrity. I don't necessarily share it. I take it on a case by case basis. I seem remember you seem to dislike men that see prostitutes. Being that its a transaction between both parties, if one is a piece of shit then so is the other. Most people tend to see both participants in the same light. It's legal in some parts of Vegas so the attitude towards both is likely different there.

You're kidding, whoever came up with some BS like that should sell it and fertilize fields.... It's legal in most European countries (can't think of one off the top of my head now where it isn't - Turkey maybe), where is there a correlation between a lack of integrity? It seems to be pretty straight forward, somebody pays money and gets sex for it, both parties are happy. More honest and greater integrity than somebody who marries and then doesn't put out until she gets the new fur coat or whatever, at least the prostitute makes no pretense what it's all about.

RML so married women dont have STD's?? I heartily disagree mind you when I was doing the statistics it was a lot to do with the hubby passing them on, but that was a few years ago(omg 25year, sheeit).

When I worked in the music business the record companies and tour managers often hired "paid companions" for the musicians, for several reasons, one is that they don't have to worry that the musician might have to cancel the tour because he's got some STD....
