What LP said - we want someone who is not secluded in the house. We want them to have friends and interests outside of the house. We want them to go out and socialize. Without that, their personality and intellect will stagnate. Now, beyond that, we can't afford to have someone in our house helping to run up bills unless they are helping to pay them as well. We require at least a part time job. It can be min-wage, flipping burgers or whatever ... but they have to be able to contribute in some way. If they work from home, we will expect them to have some other "thing" that they do outside the home (volunteering, mentoring, whatever) - same if we happen to luck out and find someone that we mesh with who is independantly wealthy (although I'm not holding my breath on that happening lol). I will also add this - as crazy as my job is, and as stressed as it makes me sometimes, I like my job, so even if we DID find someone who was wealthy enough that I didn't have to work full time, I probably still would (well ... maybe not full time ... but at least 2 days a week). I don't expect anyone to fund my life any more than I will fund anyone else's.
