Sorry about your friend Amy. Cancer is a cruel disease. In terms of prevention, I think people respond better to something light hearted, instead of gloom and doom. If the t shirt reminds someone to do their breast exam, then what the hey. I am as appalled by the sexualization of high school girls in the media and elsewhere as anyone. I just don't find the slogan particularly offensive or age inappropriate. There are far worse things on the bumpers of card on school parking lots. Finally, if the girls' parents are OK with it, shouldn't that have some weight? quote:
ORIGINAL: TheFireWithinMe Well as someone who has also lost family members to breast cancer, I don't find anything offensive about them at all. In fact I think the school admin is over-reacting. I think the girls are doing something awesome by wanting to wear the t-shirts and raising money for BC research. Fire
