You are a pair of complete and utter douchebags.
The only thing I've ever been able to accomplish while going through a migraine is to sleep and vomit.

Since you have had her in your home for 2 weeks and she has had more than one severe headache, I might assume you have asked her all the standard questions: what helps her migraines, do they have a trigger, does she take any medication for them?

I would make that assumption but your post didn't seem to be long on compassion for her.

So, in the even you didn't ask, those are among the questions you should have asked.

I get migraines.
I am owned.

My Master asks when I am getting more of them if I need to see the doctor.
My Master knows I am both on a daily preventative medication AND have medication to take when and if I get them.
If I had one while serving him, he would tuck me in to bed, get me a drink and hand me the headache meds.
When I have severe menstrual cramps he tucks me into bed with a heating pad and wraps himself around me.

My well-being is important to him.

A "slave under consideration" is also considering the worthiness of his/her master/mistress.

How do you think you did in that regard?

Have had a slave with us for the past 14 days. She has gone back home for a few day. She is willing to do just about anything to please us and is learning her routine quickly and without much correcting. However there is a problem. She suffers from debilitating migraines and when she gets one, she still does what she is told to do, but when she is on a task. she is winching and sighing as she does her work and this really annoys us. Does anyone have any suggestions about when she is like this how to handle it?

OP, suggest to her she finds a prospective owner who is a decent human being which you certainly aren't.

If your slave is having debilitating migraines, you need to make sure they're being properly treated. If it turns you both on to have her soldier through the agony, you should put up with the winces and sighs, lighten her load considerably, and reward her for serving through a pain that is probably worse than coming back from the dead. If the wincing and sighing is a deal breaker, you're just stupid. Sell her to me. A slave who'll work through a migraine is a precious treasure. I'll treat her right.

Check out the video: http://www.migraine-aura.org/content/e27891/index_en.html

The subsection Symptoms, edited by Klaus Podoll MD, provides a detailed documentation and simulations of transitory and persistent migraine aura symptoms as well as a discussion of the psychological experience of migraine aura.

Labelling yourselves as Dom/Domme does not exclude you from behaving as most humans would.
I suggest you become better aware of your submissive and her health issues, and what may trigger
and relieve them, and make a plan to work around them when necessary.

Yo, OP, I have literally been the only one holding out here on pronouncing you as being deficient in your role as Dominant because I wanted more information from you, but I'm fading fast. I see you up there, how about coming down to explain some of this?

1. Did you ever discuss beforehand with this woman what type of home care would be appropriate when she was overtaken by her medical condition?
2. Did you find out at any time what type of medical attention she may need as a result of her condition and when to procure that for her as she may be unable to?
3. Did you ever let her know that when she was ill that her regular duties would be suspended until such a time that she was able to take them up again, and that it wouldn't be held against her if that happened?
4. Did you all discuss symptoms, the path of her illness, anything of that nature so you'd know what was happening and to what degree?
5. Do you understand that if you had any person or animal in your care that is denied medical attention or kept inhumanely, it puts you at risk of breaking laws and at the very least basic human ethics?

Pain is subjective, but a very real symptom and something that is weighed heavily by the medical profession as being an immediate situation in need of care.

So come on, what's up here? Either speak for yourselves or let everyone come to their own conclusions. To be honest...it's not looking good for your side at this point without anything further from you.

I also suffer from migraines and people handle them differently and how intense they are differs also. She is coming back again this weekend. We will discuss this issue in more detail and come to an understanding. A sadist friend of ours views this totally differently. Thanks for the responses that actually addressed my question. The others I find quite humorous, thanks for the laugh.

I was going through a brutal one. Stayed home from work and was huddled under the blankets crying because I was so light sensitive it was like someone trying to rip my brain out of my head through a pore in my forehead. Master called to check on me and in between bouts of dolphin noises I told him I couldn't get the room dark enough. He left work, came home and nailed blankets over all the windows, then just sat and held me.

It's charming that their concern is
quote:

she is winching and sighing as she does her work and this really annoys us.
Not any actual concern for the person or what she's going through.

Interesting that your response includes barely any explanation and a comment that some entries here made you laugh. I saw a lot of concern on this thread, why would that be cause for laughter? Why would the direction that many took, which was to be concerned for the woman and her environment, make you laugh and why do you think that will reflect in an attractive manner on you?

What was your friends take on things btw and why is it relevant that he's a sadist? What does sexual orientation have to do with a medical matter?

You really aren't taking the douche factor out of things here by your most recent post. I guess if that doesn't matter to you then carry on...

She's your slave? Then you're partially responsible for her well being... seems like you're not. Seems like she isn't being responsible either about her well being.. therefore, you need to step up.

Are you kidding? Her wincing and sighing is troublesome to you? Use ear plugs...

yes, that's a joke...

That you find humorous people expressing concern about the well-being of someone under your care just made any doubts I had about you vanish... and that isn't a good thing.

Obviously despite how you handle them and how they manifest in you, she was having difficulties.

Not all severe headaches are migraines. If they aren't a big deal to you then perhaps yours aren't migraines.

It is as often 'Occipital neuralgia' often confused with a migraine, or other types of headache, because the symptoms can be similar. But occipital neuralgia is a distinct disorder that requires an accurate diagnosis to be treated properly. Origin is the spinal cord through the neck up the back of the brain. She could have much larger problems than just a 'headache.'

Otherwise, there are angiography, x-rays, blood chemical tests, shall I go on ? The list is long. MRI's BTW only eliminate possible causes and do not diagnose migraines.

I honestly thought there was something there that made them question her level of illness and that they must have thought it was a bit like she was crying wolf because no one could really be that icky could they?

The last entry from them though, ew. The lack of concern and no attempt at all to answer any of the concerns/questions is really skeazy. I even numbered mine to make it easy
Just seems like they don't have much to say for themselves which means they probably didn't do any preparation with this woman at all. I bet slavey never goes back. Hope so.

So in other words, even though you know they manifest differently in different people (which I stated in one of my posts), you really aren't concerned about her welfare.

I'm sure your sadist friend (who probably is as ass backwards as you) finds it a turn on to watch her work in pain.

Obviously this woman isn't the sharpest tool in the shed if she is coming back. No one with half a brain wants to be involved with people who are callous about their health.

Lizi...what I mean is....I appreciate comments like yours that offer advice and suggestions. Others that are just calling names and labeling us are the ones I laugh at. I understand that the pain she is having is nothing to laugh at and did not mean to come across that way. She has so much to offer and we are honored that she wants to be ours. I appreciate all the advice that has been given and am going to look more into the matter and talk with her and see what we all can do to handle the situation and help understand more what she needs when these occur.
