ORIGINAL: NocturnalStalker Over-exaggeration is a redundant term. Much like irregardless. True enough. Thanks for pointing that out. Irregardless, I like how over-exaggeration rolls off the tongue and spills out on the page. Seriously though, I"m not exactly in disagreement with you. Just as I wasn't really putting much thought into the redundancy of the words I was using, I'm sure many innocently make the mistake of exaggerating the obvious in their profiles, posts or correspondence. The likelihood of what comes across as narcissistic, in a medium such as this, actually being pathological - most likely falls within the same probability as what one would see in the general populace. It seems more prevalent online, but so does a great deal of other oddities. Anonymity and apparent absence of any sense of accountability seems to inspire people to do a great many things that I personally consider distasteful and/or unethical. Anyway, I'm tired. This has been interesting, and I've enjoyed the discussion. But, I'm off to get my beauty sleep. We can't all be young and gorgeous, dontcha know.
