heh....tell my 20 year old daughter that. According to her I'm ancient and these days I feel like it.

Fightdirecto -> RE: How old are you? (2/2/2012 10:04:40 PM)

I'm 60. It's amazing how many women seem to think they're "too young" for me.

kitkat105 -> RE: How old are you? (2/2/2012 11:03:18 PM)

I'm 26. I'm ashamed to say I cried for 3 days before turning 26 because I was now in the second half of the decade towards 30. I turn 27 in May and I'm trying really hard not to think about it.

Casssy -> RE: How old are you? (2/3/2012 3:26:49 AM)

48. Too old for most of the crap in life I thought so important when I was 25.

FrostedFlake -> RE: How old are you? (2/3/2012 5:16:07 AM)

49.

And you would think I'd have learned by now.

Ah... the one third age life crisis.  I've never seen anyone else write or talk about it but I'm quite convinced it's real having gone through it myself and watching many others do so as well.  It usually hits around 26 ro 27.  Its that point in time when you realize that, sure, you're still young... but not for much longer.  It's that horrible realization that, "my god, youth really will pass away."  My advice: dedicate yourself to making your 30's an awsome decade... then your mid-life crisis won't be too bad.   [:)]

igor2003 -> RE: How old are you? (2/3/2012 6:51:23 AM)

I'm twice as old as I want to be and half as old as I feel.

Iamsemisweet -> RE: How old are you? (2/3/2012 6:59:29 AM)

The ONLY crisis birthday for me and my pal Mary was 25. We were appalled that we had hit the quarter century mark and were looking down the barrel of Not Where We Expected To Be. Sad/scary. The rest of the years have been gravy!

I know this sounds really cliche but my life (the way I was meant to live it) really began at 40.  And it gets better every year.

I'm 46.  I had to come to terms with my late start at happiness and how much time was lost, but then I started focusing on how much road there is ahead of me, to enjoy.

The only thing I am really noticing is that physically I have to be more careful with my body.  Like working out and such - I get more pains in my joints pretty easily.  I think sometimes I forget my body isn't in its 20s anymore lol.  But overall, this has been the best decade of my life!

tameeks -> RE: How old are you? (2/3/2012 7:07:52 AM)

35, but now I'm seeing that I'm still a baby round these parts.  lol

notthetongs -> RE: How old are you? (2/3/2012 7:10:44 AM)

My birthday is on Valentine's Day, so while people are either making romantic plans or moping about being single... I'm hiding under the bed, hoping time will pause for just a little while.  I'll be 34 this year.  The hardest age for me to face was 30.  I felt like that was the age for me to officially be a grownup, and my life was way behind schedule.

LaTigresse -> RE: How old are you? (2/3/2012 7:57:54 AM)

I haven't had a number that was difficult or upsetting. It's just the weird disconnect I feel with the way I FEEL and the perception of what 50 is...........if that makes any sense...

Yes, it makes perfect sense. Maybe it's because my family is so very youthful looking, I don't know... but I don't feel 50, and I don't look 50. I have clients my age that look older than my 70 yr old parents!

Nueva, I felt *authentic* when I turned 40, like I was a grownup at last!
