Do they come with a warranty? I mean the original stepford program had a lot of glitches.

No training done here, never has been probably never will be. We have a relationship, we have a set structure to it, that's about it. I treat him respectfully as he does me.

It's just my opinion, I think training is pretty silly. If someone loves it and all that - great. I just can't take the term seriously as a description for relationship type things.

I like that. 100% true.

See there, Focus, I M not describing the way I "trAin" her because I do not call what I do "training". I just tell her the way I wAnt things done, she agrees to do them , and voila. No "training" required.

Let me try to explain a little bit. Training , to me , sounds like there is a timeline involved ( like airplane pilot getting trained : doesn't happen overnight) . Ie , it takes time to learn. My way, time isn't a factor. If it takes any amount of time to figure out that the outfit in the house in a non nilla setting is "a thong and 3" heels", she isn't very smart. I mean, a thong and 3 inch heels means just that. No "training" required.

Ahhh, then this must be you NOT getting hung up on the semantics of the word, then?

Got it...!

Focus.

I agree that time isn't a factor, too. I teach her the basics (rules, guidelines etc - MY basics) straight up as well as moulding/adapting anything unique to her (health, injury, physique, bad habits, committments) into said rules and guidelines etc. And then there's a 3rd consideration - how we gel with each other and likely the need to tweak the rules so they work for both of us etc.

Some things take weeks or more to learn plus all relationships evolve, and you need to adapt accordingly. So "training" isn't some academic course with a specified time frame. And that's something I find a bit annoying with newbies especially. That they look at training as a box to be ticked ASAP so they can feel like they "belong". Hence they gravitate to "training doms" - kinda like some teenagers treat their virginity as a boil that needs lancing, pronto!

There are no time limits for how long it takes the girl to learn anything. But once she's at a stage where I'm sure she knows something backwards, then I'm not so tolerant of her getting it wrong. Training is one of the great shared experiences of a D/s relationship, IMO. It mostly gets a bad rep for the name, is all....

Focus.

When I was learning to make the bed in my last relationship, it took me a few times, not because I'm dumb, but because it was a very different way than I was used to. He'd remind me of things and change things that weren't right. That's a process of teaching. I do think the word "training" has become a little negative because of people using it in negative ways, but it's not a silly concept, in and of itself.
"Teaching" might be a less offensive word for some, but people would probably have a lot of the same gripes.
I guess it just depends on how you think about it.

I don't like the word training. I've heard it used too many times in the past from people who thought they were experts on D/s after like 3 months... If you know what I mean.

~FR~

Training, teaching or slimed, just pick your word. It seems many get caught up on semantical arguements and discussions, when the intent would bear more fruit.

I am sorry to say that after nearly 40 years in the lifestyle, the bugs still aren't worked out.  No warranties, they all seem to be sold as is.

they aren't fully trained until they can balance ten shot glasses on thier head while belly dancing on a table barefoot with a bottle in thier ass. Everyone knows this, it's in the "one true way" manual.

Well the bellydancing-with-something-in-your-ass (does it have to be a bottle?) part isn't soooooo hard -- the shot glasses could pose a challenge. Can they be arranged on a tray? Maybe I could channel John Compton. hahaha

Just like you train a dog you swatem with a newspaper when the pee on they rug

BadOne

I prefer to think quite the opposite. If the dog pees on the rug, you should be smacking yourself with the newspaper for training it improperly, or not paying enough attention to its needs.
