Rule, it will be far far more interesting for me to see how long he lasts in a prison in FL.

I gather that them prisons are not pleasant? Prisons are the standard by which the degree of civilization of a population is measured. Apparently that degree is taking a turn for the worse in the USA?

I coached wrestling, sparred with various nasties who wanted to stay in shape between trips to various tropical wonderlands and helped train cops in hand to hand. that count?

Not really. That sounds more like a structured training environment than trying to stay upright during a dust up with somebody who wants to kerbstomp you and carry your teeth home in their pocket.
(Though I may have missed something in the second case you cite, in which case I apologise.)
(And, of course, it sounds like if you had been in a real fight, you'd have won.

What would you want done? If they weren't able to put up a good guard, I'll go back to a post I made when the original Martin thread came out.
Unless he had some decent training, Zim would die in a lot less than 40 seconds.

LOL, exactly on the 40 or the 15.

I was going to an aikido seminar with a buddy one time (never did it, was into more heavy duty fighting), and he had to write up the where we were at thingie for attending, and he did it on line.....and he wrote of me (and I quote)
'He doesn't fall gracefully, but he doesn't get hurt'. The guy was much younger than I.

Here's what I said earlier. (A lot earlier)
Zim unfortunately appeared to use a gun for the same reason a lot of other folks use one. To make them feel like they actually had testicles.
In any situation where you carry a weapon, you MUST be prepared at all times to use it.
If you are prepared to use it, you do not allow another person to approach within arms reach else your advantage is gone and said weapon is likely to be stuck into your own gullet..
Zimmerman was not prepared to do anything more than sit his butt in his vehicle and call the police while trying to keep a visual on at least the area where someone went.(which is what he should have done and what he no doubt wishes he had done but hind sight is 20/20)

He had the poor judgement to pursue without being prepared.
He allowed Martin to get within arms length with the weapon still in the holster and therefore useless because he was stupid and unprepared.

Seriously, if a weapon gets pulled when Martin is 3 meters or more away, 99.999% of the time he will NOT attack. (I am speaking from a personal experrience with firearms and potential robbers).

Actually, in an interview with Sean Hannity he says he doesn't regret anything. He doesn't regret getting out of his vehicle. He doesn't regret having the gun. There is nothing he would have done differently. He claims it was all part of God's plan.
