I am not from IL., but ALL THE PROFILES are just as real as yours is. Each person who made it is real. What is fake to you may be ideal for someone else. Even if a profile is a sock, it is real to the person who made it (since it is on them to maintain it).

Learn discernment.

It is all relative......I am real to me, even if I am not to you.
And profiles that only go in to the sex side of someone's life....well I don't know about their being real or not. But they are bloody boring.
As someone said, real people are smart arses.
And they tend to be, the most real.

Wow, what an interesting day on this site. Getting messages from about 20 members, who let me know that someone was mass messaging that I am fake.

It's sad I had to go to such lengths to defend and prove myself, and I find it disconcerning that so many members, both subs and doms decided to believe whatever this person was saying and then verbally abuse me.

It's a scam. It happens a lot to new people. One 'person' messages you to say you're a fake, and then others join in. They are not real profiles and they are certainly not the people on the chat side of cm. They want you to 'prove' that you are female by getting on cam and showing your girly bits.

You will be inundated with random fuckwittery for several more weeks, until your profile leaves the 'new members' list.

Your best bet is to report the offensive profiles and move on.

It was quite stressful to say the least. Less hearing about the actual message and more, the members who decided to message me and just be rude. It wasn't just from men either, many were female dommes. Quite disappointing.

Hopefully now that I've "proven" myself and that I am who I claim to be, the madness will subside.

What myotherself said. It's a scam. It's most likely one (Or multiple) people making profiles to get you to "Prove" yourself on cam. Of course they want you to show that you actually have a vagina, ect, ect.

Just do what I did.
"I have a picture of myself on my profile. I don't see any on yours. I'll get on cam after you get on cam". Watch what happens. Lol

They were not Dommes.

Some guys will set up sock accounts to make it look like more than one person is involved.

You're you and have nothing to prove. Block any idiots who claim otherwise.

I personally take offense to this sites automatic spam if u send the same message to a bunch of profiles. most people u contact on here have not been on in months or years so most will not respond for whatever reason. Plus, Why should I compose a completely new message for every profile when some of them don't even bother to write anything in their profiles and when it may not even get read in the first place? I will send a short simple message on first contact, and if the person replies, then I will go into more detail and more specifics.

Does anyone else feel this way or am I alone on my own island on this one?

Yeah, it's annoying but whatcha gonna do? It's a "free" site and there are those here who will blindly defend it to the death. That anti-spam system is in place to slow down spammers & scammers who send the exact same message to several profiles. Of course the way around that is to create multiple accounts. And no, there don't seem to be any restrictions on how many account you can create. That's simply because the more more accounts that exist here the more they can charge for advertising. It's like that for most "free" sites - the difference here being that they don't weed-out long-term inactive accounts.

So build yourself a bunch of macros, each with a slightly different message. Then use them, in order, for each profile you wish to contact. The more message macros the longer it will take for the anti-spam system to catch up with you. I don't know how different the wording needs to be but it probably does not need to be very complex.

Also, sending a message to a profile with nothing in it is probably not going to be very productive for you. I've seen tons of profiles created on a date several months back and the user never returned. I suspect the most common reasons for that are lost passwords and lack of interest.

Why do you waste your time emailing someone who hasn't visited the site in months or years? do you think they will magically appear back on CM because of the brilliance of your one line email?

Here's a hint.

I know it's counterintuitive but think about it.

If you want more replies, send out fewer emails.

Stay with me here.

Be selective about who you send an email to. Start with people who are nearby and who are active on the site.
Then read their profiles and send a unique message to each one. Don't send a book but don't send a 1 liner either (coupla paragraphs). Mention common interests in your email so they will realize you are part of the 5% or so that actually read their profile.

Send out 4-6 emails like this to local active people instead of 100 one liners to whoever and here is what will happen.
You WON'T get tagged as spam.
Unless you are inept at the keyboard, you WILL get replies.

Less time spent emailing, more replies. Win/Win

Some more advice to add to HIlly's: write something interesting or you won't get a reply anyway. 'Hi, how r u" is mostly going to be ignored, because there are thousands of conversationally-challenged people on here writing exactly the same.

Master had an almost blank profile. I would have ignored his message if it hadn't been interesting, showed he'd read my profile and even made me giggle. He captured me with his attentiveness and his wit. A boring, generic cut-and-paste message would have been deleted without opening it fully. THAT'S why you need to make the effort.

Couple of things:

-I never, ever reply to messages that aren't personal unless it's to mock the sender. If you're going to be lazy enough to copy and paste messages to a bazillion different girls, that shows a serious lack of respect and interest in me as a human. Insta-delete. I do not respond to people who have ignored my profile.

-This is kind of a n00b question, but--I accidentally reported a photo of myself. I'd gotten so many "lol ur fake" messages (that I'd ignored) but recently got one that informed me I am "underage", and as I really don't want to go through the hassle of proving I'm twenty because I know I look sixteen and it could turn into an issue, I wanted to see what was involved in reporting a photo. I didn't expect just clicking it to send in a report--I was expecting some kind of form or something.

Then again, since there's no detail at all in reporting photos, does that mean it's unlikely to ping unless this creep actually sends in a support ticket saying "So and so is underage!!!!" ?

Again, I'm really new here. This is my first post on the forum, actually. So sorry if this is a dumb question.

Welcome!! I'm fairly sure that when the Mods see that the report was generated by your own profile, you'll get a gold-bordered cmail from them to clear up the issue :)

Don't worry, the Mods are pretty cool and they don't bite... much ;)

I only read what was on the first page I will admit.

I know that some people are real. I have met them. I also know there are a lot of fakes as well.

I have figured out that some want to talk for quite awhile and then want to meet are are looking for exactly what they said in their conversations.

There are others that I suspect just want to talk about their fantasies and tell you they want to meet and in the final hour stop contact.

There are others that the interest is just not there or what we are looking for just don't match up.

Then there are the true fakes.

To answer the question everyone is not fake. Just because there is no interest does not make them fake.

You know, OP: I've had one person say the same thing to me a month ago: My profile was contrived, that I was contrived for wanting a conversation that didn't involve anything sexual, etc. So I may have a bit of advice for you that could help get the ladies (as you are straight) to 'drop trou' when you are in contact with them.

1. If they have a specific thing on their profile asking for a way to interact with them, then go along with it.

and

2. If what you're doing isn't scoring you the one lady or the harem you want, maybe you need to step back and check just what you're doing wrong.

I can probably guess what you're thinking: What? Me?! Doing something wrong?! What blasphemy is this that you speak?!

Maybe, JUST MAYBE, the 'fake' people won't seem as fake.

I'm real! I joined this forum back in 2006 under a different name and was active for quite a while. I joined again a few mOnths ago and met a real friend on this site. He's a sweetheart! Super fun to hang out with, a true gentleman (except for when we are at the bar and checking out hot chicks and whispering about them) - then we both get Pervy! Just be careful... use your better judgement and go with your gut if you choose to meet someone in person!
