Do you think it is right to be judged by the remarks of your children ...grown or not?

Butch

Oh, absolutely, when you have them as components of your campaign. I suggest you put away the stroller for this one hon, it was a choreographed move that failed and not much more.
And yes, I've heard playback of the entire interview.

I recall a few folks here said it didn`t/shouldn`t reflect on his dad when I posted his birther comments .

They probably felt Mitt had enough wrong with him at the time... Now though, they'll throw diapers on grown men and cry "don't hurt the baby".
Tazzy called it best, "hypocrisy".

Blah, blah, blah.........it's all childish "gotcha" politics, and you good people are buying into it. This "controversy" is no more credible than the one the Republicans are trying to drum up over O's poor choice of words on The Daily Show. (Though I do sympathize with the pain it cause the slain diplomat's mom.) Jon Stewart fed him the word and so, by your standards, we should tie him to the same wall as Tagg Romney and flog each unmercifully. Focus people......you have a choice between a reticent billionaire, who sees everything in the business model; or a highly insulated millionaire, who is getting bad advice from a bunch of (disorganized and increasingly desperate) Chicago thugs. We have less than three weeks to see which one we want to screw us......and once they cross the Rubicon, er.. the Potomac, THEY BOTH WILL MOST ASSUREDLY DO IT.

If it was a CREDIBLE threat, the guy would be in custody already, candidate's son or no........what we have here is another Obama campaign distraction like Mitten's dog, his wife's horse, homemade cookies, binders, etc, anything to demonize the guy until their man can slide in under the re election wire

Oh no.....another Obama controls everything conspericy theorists.....

Ummm....Mitt`s dog abuse happened well before he ran for prez.

No one put his lame responses in his mouth....tho...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep8m8Bz0qBY

Mitt built that embarrassment all by himself.

Though Colbert had some fun with dressage.....I doubt he coordinated with the Obama campaign......lol

Homemade cookies?..........I missed that bit of serious controversy..

Binders?....Can Obama help what and how many folks tweet?........Or that Mitt fibbed about them and got caught?

Someone call the wahhhbulance.....

Not much of an argument there, Sir. Even you cannot be so partisan to not admit that O's campaign has seized on every little bs moment to distract from his record. It's a trademake of his advisor's style (though as the boss, O bears ultimate responsibility) all his races, with the exception of his first prez run, have been won when his opponents personal lives, most of which like the dog, happened well before they ran. In both his state rep and senate campaigns, those facts "mysteriously" appeared from SEALED court records. AS for R's verbal gaffes, do "you didn't build that" "corpsesman", etc.ring a bell?

The cookie incident was in PA, during a campaign stop, R was served some cookies from the local bakery, and mistakenly thought they were a nation brand. O's people used it asagotcha moment to paint R as out of touch. Bunch of bs.

Also, would be very interested in hearing why you brought up conspiracy, only stated a simple fact....had it been deemed a threat, the SS would have detained him, however temporarily

There was no "mistake". The owners chuckled. The patrons were not so kind on the blogs. Its going to be hard to beat Obama, at least locally.

They dont go around detaining everyone. And no one said it was a credible threat. Just a stupid comment made public by a grown man who should have known better.

The record where he cut taxes for small business and the middle class?

The record where he kills pirates threatening shipping and FINALLY put down Osama bin Laden?

The record where the DJIA is back to pre-2008-crash levels, one metric showing the recovery to be complete?

The record where corporate profits are at all time highs?

I guess that's why Republicans want to talk about anything else. They say "Obama can't run on his record" and then talk about terrorist attacks on the embassy, and how Obama didn't out CIA resources by telling our enemies on national TV about all our assets. The assets which will kill those responsible.

But hey, with the Republicans blabbing about national security secrets all the time, it's like they never read any Tom Clancy.

You DO NOT COMPROMISE YOUR ASSETS by releasing information which couldn't have been gotten through alternate, known channels.

I think it goes to the mindset. And there's a racist dog-whistle embedded for their own base. "The Uppity Negro Was Threatening My Father's Honor, So I Put That Uppity Negro In His Place"

The race card? Really? I must be the only that can see how absolutely stupid that comment is.

So you're saying that the Republican Base, who are buying shirts saying "Put WHITE back in the White House" isn't sensitive to and buys into the narrative that Obama is uppity and needs to be put back in his place?

Or for some reason that the topic is off limits?

But hey, don't you know, we're all racists, just ask Chris Matthews *chuckle* not sure what the melatonin content of someone's skin has jack squat to do with anything, but some damned fool has to play it. And fargle old buddy, your tactics of trying to win an argument by steamrolling the oposition won't play here much longer. The economy and foriegn affairs are useless arguments for you until you clean up the Benghazi mess and lower unemployment. AS far as being racist, under Obama the BLACK unemployment ratew has averagede nearly 18%.

PS, so you normally have one of the people running for PM have their child say something whimsical like this about the sitting PM?
