Now that this thread's been re-aimed, here are suggestions for improvement, aimed at the design. To be clear, I admire CM. Its webpage opens by defining itself to be the largest BDSM Community . . . . Why not. Its mail system's a gem. Powerful member-search. Highly functional forum interfaces. . . But . . . (here goes) 1) The teaser called 'As the Collar Turns' ought to have back and forth arrows added, so that users can rewind to a topic that they glimpse and miss. The current absence of arrows frustrates its purpose. Since the teaser transports newbies to forum threads, this improvement would enhance forum use (and vitality:) 2) Now to the profile side. There should be a way to stay in Full-view mode when viewing member profiles. Instead of tediously going back and forth between List-view and Full-view. Could be done by making better use of those left and right arrows around a Full-view profile. It's not clear what they presently scroll through. Those left and right arrows could directly assign to your personalized left-margin member lists (eg NewMembers). To the very lists you can't access from Full-view mode. 3) Whenever a profile is generated or edit-saved, CM should have a hidden app comparing the city stated with the SPN. If they're close, your stated city just appears in green. If not close, the city goes in regular black text (or empty if user neglects). It would be an interesting tool against fakes that seasoned members could pick up on. (SPN detection is already built-in to the distance calculator, which is often incongruent with the cities fakes do list. But it can be turned off.) 4) There's no present way to search or differentiate smokers from non-smokers, because CM lacks a field, for this useful matching characteristic. It's never too late. Existing members would fill it in, when they wish.
