Okay been back 10 pages and not seen any reference to this:-

Epilepsy,

Been talking to a newbie sub who is considering diping her toes in our kinky world (can you tell I is a daddy Dom?).

They have and take anti seizure meds but are there any guides to what is and isnt a good idea for play possbilities?

I havent really done any research yet (other than asking for pre-existing medical conditions) but I dont know how effective the meds would be in 'stress' situations and I really dont like the idea of someone having a seizure while in bondage for example. Is that even the right word?

I have some research to do but if anyone here has already done some see no reason to re-invent the wheel.

It's not a huge concern if she is on medication, and the right levels are reached. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to have her go see her doctor, and have him clear her for "Strenuous Activity". Maybe something like rock climbing?

I would not suspect that she would be a prime candidate for suspensions that you cannot quickly take down, and be mindful that if she were to have a grand mal, while restrained in rigid restraints (I don't know, one of those steel fiddles, or a spreader bar) that she could damage herself.

Ask her what type of seizures she normally has, and that should give you a better understanding of what you can, and cannot do. If her doctor is kink friendly, then perhaps you two should sit down and chat with them.

How often does she have seizures? Because if she's tightly controlled and hasn't had one for six years that's a lot different than someone who seizures three times a day.

Ask her what her triggers are.
