From long experience, the fear is often worse then the reality, and what I have found is with some few exceptions, they don't care, and few stores can afford to turn away customers. There are exceptions, there was a wig store I was in one where the woman got all deranged when I asked about wigs, but I simply walked out and wonder about someone turning away someone willing to spend 600 bucks on a wig.....the only thing I will say is I can understand in some cases where stores get upset at men in the lingerie section, it isn't because they are shopping there, it is because they are so nervous and furtive that they think they are either shoplifting or they are perverts getting off on touching the stuff, or looking at the women....having done a lot of it, both in male mode and fully presenting, I rarely saw anything but being another customer.....one figure was that plus size woman's clothing stores , for example, have almost 40% of their sales from men buying for themselves, I don't know how true that is today, but was the number they threw about years ago
