I've got several questions.

If you were diabetic and she asked you to forego your insuline, would you comply with that?
If she was into forced medication, would you take additional dosages because she enjoyed watching you collapse and enter a coma?

If you did do the forced intoxication, what is she looking for? For you to lose control so that she can punish you? Or will she just dump you because you're not able to stay sober?

I have to echo the others. I find this insane! Even as a slave, I'd still always need to trust that my health, both mental and physical would always be respected. That trust thing has to do with knowing what my limits are. Pushing them could be fine in some cases, but to deliberately push me into something they know is completely wrong for me, would be a deal breaker.

She does not believe alcoholism is a disease.

... and yet... what medical science believes differs... including getting down to actual specific genes and the like. So do you believe in science or faith? If science, dump the idiot mistress. If faith, go ahead and drink and pray that it turns out OK.

You "Mistress" does not deserve that title. A true Domme/Mistress/Owner's first responsibility is that of her sub/slave/pet's health and well being. You gave her a gift and now she is using her to abuse you in a horrific way. You will do as you choose, but I hope you get the hell away from her ASAP!!! Good luck.

Jesus! This is just sadistic abuse.

Why the heck would anyone put up with that?

Don't let anyone who doesn't have care for you, be your domme/dom.

I agree that given in your path to recovery allowing your mistress to do this to you would be irresponsible on your part and disrespectful on hers. However I also think that this demonstrates how ineffective an abstinence approach to recovery on its own can be. This makes me wonder if your path to recovery had a harm reduction approach aspect to it would this same scenario be as dangerous of an issue. Alcoholism is a disease and dangerous one at that, not just for you but for the people in your life. The harm reduction approach as a whole has been shown to be more effective than an abstinence approach and is the preferred approach in most other other countries. I'm not saying you should give up on your current path, especially if it's working. However I would recommend also seeing a trained therapist who can teach you this approach so in the future if you happen to fall off your path you'll have an easier time getting back on since this approach will help to give you the tools to get you back on the trail on your own. If your group helps you stay on that's great, having a strong social support network is often an important factor in predicting how successful recovery will be for an individual. However as I'm sure you know temptation will always come around and your network might not be there at the moment. At least this way you can be safer. However either way the harm reduction approach would also recommend that you not subject yourself to this activity, force intoxication, since it is dangerous for you as a recovering alcoholic.

Still that is awesome that you have stayed sober for over a year, that is really impressive. You must have strong will power, keep it up. Remember that YOU made this happen.

Tell her the situation.

If she insists then tell her to fuck off and die.

Would you mind explaining how this demonstrates the effectiveness/ineffectiveness of the abstinence approach, as I can't see an ounce of suggestion in the scenario one way or another.

Now, don't get me wrong, I agree completely that simple abstinence without any supporting activity is a hard road, but I think that arguing that it is ineffective is plain silly.

"Less effective without support" - sure, but "ineffective" - nonsense.

Nothing, and I do mean nothing, should get in the way of you and recovery. You were all ready a slave to alcohol, and it destroyed your life. She is wanting to send you back to your former master. You need to leave this woman and find someone who will support you in this lifelong battle you have to fight.
