~fast reply~

Man, I don't know. We've had some doozies over the years but this thread certainly is ranking right up there as "best thread ever"

To recap we got a guy who's "decoded the bible" and is in possession of a magical artifact (of unspecified properties). Right there is some just plain awesomeness.

Next, we get to a thread that, given I have hidden one poster, I see nothing on certain entire pages of the thread other than "This user is on your 'hidden' list". Seriously? An entire page of someone responding to their own posts? Man, it almost makes me want to unhide him just to see what I've been missing. Maybe it's some more useful information about the practical application of magic in the real world. That shit I learned from Harry Potter just plain doesn't work that well.

Then we have the handful of other posters who are taking the guy from Hogwarts seriously and "reasoning" with him. I swear I couldn't make this up.

Me? I'm mostly interested in how long this troll is going to go and whether or not it's DomiGuy doing the trolling.

The sentence "Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven." from Our Lord's prayer is important to understand where Christianity is coming from as opposed to where Buddhism is coming from. In Christianity God operates in this world and the next. A mutual exclusive relationship does not exist between worlds. In Buddhism this world and Nirvana are mutually exclusive. There is no commonality between the worlds. This implies that once you achieve Nirvana you will no longer be you. You will be something else, not what God created. Puts a chill down the spine don't it?

Not really. Both Christianity and Buddhism are bollocks, so it doesn't matter.

In Buddhism, Samsara is Nirvana. Samsara is the illusion that arises as a result of not recognizing that all is Nirvana. And the "you" that you think you are is not you, it's only a very small part of you. In Nirvana, the fetters that bind your perception are extinguished and you are freed from the illusion.

If it's bugging you report him, he's made multiple posts of hate speech and personal attacks in the thread.

I recall the conceited remarks made by GotSteel about how atheists know more about Christianity than Christians. Spoken sarcastically, yes, you have excellent teachers. People like DaddySatyr to inform you about what Catholicism is all about and how it works. Add that to how you cherry pick your data.

A lot of atheists do know more about Christianity then Christians do, a lot of Catholics know very little about the history of the church, how it came about, what Nicae meant, where the trinity came from and so forth. Many Christians believe the NT was written by known authors and was apostolic, that it somehow went from the hand of God to man like the 10c's, and none of that is true.

All the data I've seen shows that atheists know more about christianity than christians.

Well I have met a few who certainly seemed to know more than a lot of christians. It seems like they spend countless hours studying the bible which really confuses me because they claim the bible is nothing more than a fairy tale made up by man. It also seems like the majority of them do it, not because they are actually interested in what it says but so they can go around and convince everyone else that they alone have seen the light. Then they start preaching about how superior they are to everyone who believes in an imaginary friend in the sky. They do studies trying to prove that non-religious folks are much smarter then religious ones. They have a whole website just to insult and ridicule any type of belief system and then they wonder why people don't like them and do mean things like slit their truck tires and call them nasty names. Go figure.

As long as people keep responding to him and giving him an audience, he'll keep posting his drivel.

Apart from the superstars of atheism are there any educated atheists or are they all this dumb?

Is it dumb or imbalanced?
