Now since I am 58 and would be over the moon if some lil 20-40 sumthin took a likin to me this is the thread I felt might be enlightening. I was wrong. It warn't the first time. Well it did let me see who the regulars and how the lay of the land is...

putting all that aside (and still not answering the OP question) i didn't see any Sociology/psychology along the lines that I had some formal education on...and that is this...

Women are attracted to one thing in Men :POWER. in all its manifested forms. Whether power in physical strength, power by position in society, power of knowledge, the power of a personality. Now that's the nature side of the coin..in here the kink is definitely more rooted in the nurturing side. As a man lives he has a chance to increase his power in many fields. you know where I am going?
And Men, what are we attracted to? fertileness (I guess that's a word, the spellchecker ghost didn't red ziggy line it). Yep fertility displays itself in a woman in many ways... % of body fat...too thin and they can't carry a fetus to full term, almost all the men that have an Ethiopian fetish are not going to be Daddies. To fat and you drop the kids off too far from school, nevermind making a fetus. Too young or too old(don't hit me) and to paraphrase the BIble you spill your seed on barren ground. Even the behavior needed to care for infants are attractive to men. I never wanted to stick my dick in a ho that hits her babies hard enough to knock em out. No seriously I don't. My Master, who I entered into a vanilla relationship first that then developed into a D/S one as well, was 44 years older than me. I was 21 when we first got together, and he was 65. I was not aware of his age until two weeks into the relationship. Not because he didn't tell me, but because it was unimportant, to me, to ask. My Master was the exception to the rule regarding how old I would date. The likelihood of anyone comparing to him is slim. There also may be some variants between how old I would go for a play partner, how old I would go regarding just friendship, and how old I'd go for ownership and/or a relationship.

I don't recall mentioning a huge discrepancy. Those were not my words, please do not put things into my writing that are not present. Only that their goals and current interests did not mesh with my own. I also did not explicitly state that I would never date/play with anyone younger again in the entirety of my life, only that at that point in time, that was the decision I made. I've moved on since then; if a guy who was younger came along who I got on with, then I'd be open to the possibility.
