He doesn't really feel anything for people and causes out of his comfort zone.

To Sanity, Bama and "the ISIS crowd" this is an isolated incident and they don't want to see it as terrorism or racism. They can't go there.

What a depraved act. Just mind boggling.

Another crocodile tears leftist, first thing that comes to his mind is use it for a hate-filled attack

Can you guess who spoke these words

"But at a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized -- at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do -- it's important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds."

How dare you talk about "healing" when you are unable to condemn this "heinous crime" (to quote Charleston's Police Chief) ??

How fucking dare you? Have you no shame at all?

Some good news: the police report having arrested the suspect and having him in custody. I hope he never sees daylight again.

The left is going to be apoplectic about this tragedy.

9 (probably black so, automatically "victims") Christians (That makes them evil), killed by a white man (That makes him a racist; not a God-hater) ...

... in a church (A Gun-free zone)...

... the pastor being a state senator (separation of church and state. A Pastor has no business in politics) ...

... but an African American Republican (Automatically a race traitor).

The poor PPLs aren't going to know whether to shit or go blind.

Michael

Wow, that was breathtakingly cynical. Are we lefties such psychopaths, to you? I heard that a man had gone into a church and killed peaceful people. I was appalled. Simple as that. I don't know of anybody of any political hue who I could imagine feeling differently.

Thanks for expressing your sympathies for the victims -- and there's been a long line of such victims in the USA.

Neither you nor tweaka have expressed your sympathies for the victims

Youve only launched these personal attacks

I would say it is an isolated act. What would make you say otherwise?

Do you have proof he has done it before or plans to do it again?

Do you have proof that he is part of a group that has committed similar crimes or plans to do so?

As I said previously: racist nutcase. Lone white gunman.

It's hard to see such act as SANE. Court psychologists have have found James Holmes to be sane.

That difficulty that you and many others have in seeing the act of killing someone as a sane thing to do is what led to the rampant use of the "insanity defense". Yes, I called him a nutjob...that doesn't mean he IS nuts. His actions are crazy...like James Holmes...but it doesnt mean he is.

When people begin to understand that you can be sane and yet believe in twisted things, we'll have a lot less use of that insanity defense.

You say it's hard to think of a SANE person doing those things...sadly, for me it isn't.

A game... No. But I can plainly see that in your determination to use the crime for political gain, you have yet to do that which you claim to hold me in contempt for

To me sanity is never relevant in a murder. The intelligence of a murderer even less relevant.

Both are murderers first... then an insane murderer or a stupid one but still murderers. Neither is an excuse to me.

If this nutbag hasn't done anything else, nor planned to do anything else, this shooting can still not be an "isolated incident." If this was a racially motivated offense, it's not isolated from other recent racially motivated offenses.

Would you consider the 9/11 attacks as "isolated incidents" because Mohammed Atta hadn't killed anyone prior, and wasn't planning on anything afterwards? Or, were the attacks not isolated from other terrorist attacks on the US?

"The ISIS crowd"

Hmm

What is meant by that. Those "assholes" or whatever cloudboys term du jour is, for those who show concern for ISIS, ISIS' victims, and ISIS' rapid, unchecked expansion?

Which, ISIS' victims are in the tens, if not hundreds of thousands. And their victims are not just murdered, they are often tortured to death. Men, women, children of all ages. Taken captive, raped and otherwise abused in horrific ways

They caught him three hours away

http://atlanta.cbslocal.com/2015/06/18/gunman-kills-9-at-historically-black-church-during-bible-study/

When they say "isolated" what is meant is not part of a group

Atta was definitely part of a group. A world wide group, that is still committing atrocities

Yes I agree. Excellent post DS. It's a relief to be reminded that some on the Right are capable of thinking intelligently and expressing themselves eloquently. One wouldn't think so if we only had Sanity's or Hunter's posts to go by.

You are such a poster child for the lefts incessant, rabid need to hate

Who do you think spoke these words, and in what context

"But at a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized -- at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do -- it's important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds."

I think we should forget the white on black crime as something typical of America...because if we do then there is no way to ignore black on white crime which is hundreds of time more prevalent.

The facts of the crime... as a hate crime against blacks... must be considered in his sentencing... that is enough.

What really should be the direction here is when are we going to realize our current gun laws are insufficient and need to be altered to protect the innocent public?

Time after time, criminals, fanatics and the insane have gotten access to killing weapons and are spreading havoc in this nation. This needs to change.

In a nation of 300 million people, if we are going to make a new law because of emotional reactions to every negative things that occurs... We will soon be living in a kind of Orwellian nightmare
