Personally, I would be saying, "don't bother." Of course I didn't agree to that, and you may have. There are some Dominants/ Masters that think submissive means doormat. If a sub/slave is into that, ok. If you don't, then move on.
I agree that his attitude is childish.

One possibility of him not wanting you to contact him is that he is trying to see within himself if he is OK without hearing from you..... seeing if HE needs to talk to you every day... if HE needs you.... Basically he could be figuring out if he can survive without you. Not knowing all the details of your relationship or him it is a possibility.

The question shouldn't be if you can spend the rest of your life with someone... it should be if you can spend the rest of your life without them.

Just my humble opinion.
