It looks like team Trump is going full Breitbart on Flynn. Expect Hannity to lead, and then the full 24/7 Fox News blitz against Flynn.

BoscoX will parrot it all on cue.

If the White House or campaign records don't show any impropriety, but Flynn still makes claims there was impropriety, wouldn't you want your defense team (if you were in Trump's shoes) to be ready to point out that Flynn has already admitted to lying once? Isn't that a legitimate fact considering there aren't any records showing any impropriety?

If Gen. Flynn implicates Trump or any of Trump's inner circle, the media is going to go hog wild over it. FFS, they've gone hog wild in celebrating Trump's demise when someone not-Trump has been caught lying, even though it still doesn't point to any collusion or Trump-Russia conspiracy.

What would you have your defense team doing if you were in Trump's position?

p.s. Isn't it against TOS to mention another poster in a thread if that poster hasn't joined the thread?

I don't know about now, but it WAS a rule at one time because some would mention another poster (who didn't frequent the "unmoderated" threads) in the "unmoderated" threads as a means to (so bravely) attack another poster without being subject to refutation.

I'm not certain where the lines were drawn, but I know there was a rule.

On the topic: It's all very simple. It's black-letter law: someone who's been convicted of (plead guilty to) lying under oath is a "tainted" witness. Their conviction/guilty plea CAN be used against them, under cross-examination and, in some cases, the judge could decide the probative value of their testimony doesn't out-weigh the prejudicial aspect (because of their history of lying) and exclude the testimony, altogether.

So, "attacking" Flynn, in this case seems fair (certainly) and maybe even a smart move.

im not aware of any poster that believes that overturning the election is the point, from the left at least, but I could be wrong.
It seems that "overturning the election" is more projection than anything.
Because nothing would have happened if trump hadnt fired comey.
His own words, and actions started the investigation.

None of that matters, as long as Mueller can corroberate the information given by Flynn wi th other untainted sources.

We will see what happens.

I think those last two lines might be the crux of the issue for a good majority on both sides.

At one time or another, Comey had pissed off the Left and the Right. There's no doubt about it and ... for the record:

1) I believe Comey was way out of his depth (and authority), when he "exonerated" the she-cunt.

B) I believe he may have been attempting to meddle in the election in OCT 2016, when he announced there may be "new news" (Carlos Danger's computer) about the investigation (which he supposedly already closed, when he didn't have the authority to do so) into Shrillary's emails.

So, I think BOTH sides feel like they're justified in the desire to see Comey go.

That said, once President Trump did fire him (Comey), it gave the left a chance to use Comey as a chip to start a "Special Counsel" investigation, based upon "Obstruction" claims.

What's funny is there are some constitutional scholars that claim a president cannot obstruct justice, by definition.

I'm not sure I agree, but they make an interesting argument.

Repubs go after the media, after the Internet and anything or anybody that doesn't fall in line.

Give me a copy of the RNC directory...full of liars, obfuscators and partisan party hacks.

Repubs didn't and don't just point to aspects of their disagreement with other policies but their proponents are traitors, communists, socialists or Kenyan closet destroyers of America.

I am waiting and it may not be much longer, when the right tells America that the only good liberal...is a dead liberal.

How much longer from there will it take for their mantra to become the only good opponent of any kind...is a dead opponent ?

sorry, I actually watch fox news and practically every single time one of you comrades comments on it, its something observationally wrong and not even close to being the truth.

its been 2-3 days now---has the blitz started yet? are we in the midst of it? is the blitz over? did we miss the blitz? oh no!



although, since youre apparently a more astute observer of fox than I am, i'll look forward to all the actual comments attacking Flynn from each of the few dozen shows they have. a "blitz" means you should have tons of material right?
